I am not feeling overly inspired to write anything today, but I wanted to show you a few gorgeous things that I found these past few weeks, at events, stores, or buried deep in my inventory. I’ll start with the hair. I’ve been in the Truth VIP group since the very beginning of the new concept, and some months I barely logged in, or if I did I was too busy with other things to really check what the gift was. So when I found Ginevra, last November’s gift, I just went wow. The super pretty glasses are free from Balaclava, they were the demo for this week’s Fifty Linden Friday offer. Guess what? I put together another very cool look, with the last of my FaMESHed gifts. Pyjamas, socks, earrings and necklace are free from the event. I promise, in a few days I’ll also show you things one actually has to pay for. In the meantime, let me enjoy the beauty of my l$ balance not dropping down for a couple more hours.

Uber opened on the 25th, and I am sorry to say that my bank account didn’t like it at all. The theme this round is Biker Chic, and I will take 2 posts to show you some of the gorgeous things you can get there.

Tres Blah takes the theme to a very high level of cuteness with that dress/leather jacket combo. They come in a bunch of colours, all super pretty, and I just couldn’t decide, so I had to fatpack.

The muddy face and body, and the eye make-up are appliers from Izzie’s, available at Uber too, as well as the latest hair release by Truth, Panny, that is simply adorable.

In the world of Second Life, people tend to buy clothes at events, wear them once, then change into their next purchase and never look at that first outfit again, even though they were drooling over it when it first came out. For some reason I don’t really like to do that. Of course, I do buy things at events, when they’re brand new and everyone is raving over them too. But I like to shop in stores, and dig out old things in my inventory. When they are good, they don’t get out of style, and it’s the case with that top from Cold Logic. It predates mesh bodies and I’m wearing a size S on my Maitreya Lara. I had to alpha my elbows and part of my back, but honestly, autohide today would do the same.

I wear glasses IRL. I don’t mind them, but I wish I could change their colour like I can do in SL, to match my clothes, or my shoes. Cae has a bunch of very pretty pairs out at this month’s round of Uber, it’s just too bad she doesn’t offer a fatpack option, but I did buy 3 out of the 5 or 6 pairs available, I may go back later for the rest…

My friend Isla who owns Cheeky Pea is putting together a small fundraising event to help her sister Stephanie pay for some medical bills her husband left when he passed away unexpectedly, at only 37, a few weeks ago. I made a special recolour, the Stephanie eyes, available in the Cheeky Pea mainstore for only 100l$ for 6 colours, proceeds go to Isla. Other designers will have some lovely things out in a few, I’ll try and show you.

I am usually ambivalent about jumpsuits. In my first life, I think they are annoying. They are not particularly flattering and seriously, who wants to almost completely undress every time they go to the restroom? But we don’t pee in SL, so bodysuits are not so ridiculous here.

And when the body suit is this beautifully architectural, then all of a sudden I am down with bodysuits.

My mother would always say “They say Elizabeth Taylor is the most beautiful woman in the world, but she isn’t. it’s Natalie Wood.” She was timeless and elegant, and I was excited to see that one of SL’s most classic skin makers, Adam N Eve, had made a new skin for Vintage Fair in the spirit of her style.

If you’re newer to SL you might not be familiar with the brand, but I can promise it’s one you need to know. I wasn’t going to post this picture as I took it playing with shadows and goofing off last night, however that changed after I read plurk this morning.

Morgana Hilra who blogs over at So Hawt SL is having one of those days. One of those days where she feels pressured to blog differently because of X or whatever. Someone is in her ear, or she’s feeling like she needs to change.
