Marcopol Oh is probably best known for his stunning photography but over the past year, he has been quietly building a reputation as a clothing designer, producing modern, minimalist designs for his label La Penderie de Nicole. He recently jumped into the deep end, producing a line of male skins called Julian. I have been a long time fan of his sense of style and design, so I was thrilled when he recently released a female skin called Julia. The slide show above shows the five skin tones, each of which comes not only different colors of eyebrows, but with different thickness and density to the brows. Incidentally, these photos are all raw Second Life shots. I set the snapshot to 1000 by 1000, so they have not even been cropped. The Julia skin was released for The 24 Event and is only available there for now. It’s a bit tricky because his store is in The 24 Menswear section, but it is right by the landing point.

Obligatory Rainbow Fence Photo Included

I was out doing my Saturday morning farmer’s market shopping when I spied it. A Rainbow Fence! I quickly ran over, struck a pose and snapped. Now I can get that piece on my fashionista punch card punched out and I can trade it in for a free gift! I hope it’s a toaster! Continue reading
Little Greenie, I Will Always Be Your Fool

There was an AREA 51 themed party this weekend at The Garden to celebrate this month’s theme, and I couldn’t decide if I wanted to be a poodle skirt diner girl or an alien. I dithered and went back and forth. The best part was, I was putting it all together from fun new and old items in my inventory – proof positive that you don’t have to go out and bankrupt yourself to participate in fun theme events. Flowers in Ghostville
I thought Ghostville would be an appropriate place to wear this outfit since I am wearing clothing from a bygone era. Yes, that blouse is a combination of system, prim and sculpts without any mesh components. In fact, it’s an old blouse, one from GField and I did not delete it in the great non-mesh purges of 2012 and 2013. I jest, I guess, though Gidge said I would be thrown out of the Fashion Mafia. The thing is, I love this blouse. It’s beautiful fits well and looks great and I really don’t care what it is made of when it works. I paired with with gorgeous mesh pants from One Bad Pixel in a lovely tone on tone damask.
I am wearing SLink’s natural mesh feet with ISON’s sandals from the July Collabor88 which should be in the store now. The sandals are striking with bold colors and a line of brass studs running up the vamp. They fit well when walking and standing but I discovered while dancing that the movement of dancing will allow the heel to show through the back of the shoe. If you don’t plan on dancing, though, they have no fit issues.
Here is a closer look at the top. I love mesh myself, but really, this looks great and I don’t see any reason to avoid wearing clothing that looks good just because its technology is no longer de riguer.

My hair is from a recent release from Truth and is called Elaine. It has a sweet blue fade at the ends. The jewelry is from Maxi Gossamer and the mesh hands are SLink’s with a fabulous manicure and pedicure from FLAIR.
Glam Affair has gorgeous, fresh-faced skins for Collabor88 this month. I love the color in the cheeks and the subtle eye makeup.

Excuse Me We Need To Talk About Your Hands

I am here today to talk to you about those hands. Cuz, I too, was a wearer of meat hands. And LO my friend Sasy said “GIRL, why you still wearing those MEAT HANDS!” And I said “NAY! For I like them and they are what is natural and good in my eyes!” And Cajsa said “BUT THE MEAT HANDS DON’T HAVE EXPRESSION!” and I said “But they are MINE and I love them.”
But then I put on the mesh hands and I left behind the meat hands forever.
BUT THERE IS HOPE YEA THERE IS HOPE! If you too say “I love the meat hands but I sure wish I could get some of those amazing fingernails, WHAT DO I DO?” Let me tell you all about it. Continue reading
Vintage Beauty from PXL Creations for COLLABOR88

PXL Creations has released a beautiful Vintage KATE skin for Collabor88 this month, complete with great pencil thin eyebrows for a true retro look. There are four variations to the lips, and there are actually “regular” eyebrows included but I was feeling very 1920s this morning. Continue reading
Ladies and Gentlemen I Bring You Gacha

I am also bringing you the most popular pictures I’ve ever taken, according to FLICKR stats. Sure, my views went up weirdly when they changed the way they count them, but they’ve normalized. These however, are now a set of insanely popular FLICK pics, at least on my photostream. So, I think you should go buy all these things.
Let’s talk GACHA. Gogo caught my eye with this adorable bunny phone at VCO and now I have three. Continue reading
Love Donna Flora in Dots
There’s a fun little polka dot dress with a balloon skirt at Les Petits Details cart at Love Donna Flora. I love how the top is gathered, creating a mirror of the bottom in shape, though not in size. Continue reading
Beyond the Velvet Rope

The Plastik has released a new top which put me in a disco state of mind. You could totally have worn this to Studio 54. If you could get in, that is. Continue reading
Dancing And Pool Parties

I logged in for Cajsa’s smooth jazz set on Sunday and she said “Put on your swimsuit.”
Handily, I had just picked a new one up at Fameshed from Valentina E. I thought it was kind of adorable because it included a cover up so it was perfect.
The Velvet had added an outdoor pool of eclectic elegance so it was a relaxing morning of floating and dancing while we shook off our Sunday lethargy.

When I didn’t feel like swimming, the cover-up still provided a pool party appropriate look without my bootie hanging out. Continue reading
