Which is pretty much how I feel right now. Truth released this really cute hair called Malibu for  Uber’s grand opening. The headband is detachable and modifiable so you can actually tint it to any color if you want or you can use the pre-made textures and colors from the Hud.

If you’re like me, at the end of your pixel day you don’t feel like cooking usually. I strip down into my comfy lingerie and boudoir heels and just have  a cup and maybe a cookie or ten. Maybe a wee sandwich. There is not reason I can’t be civilized in my pixel life, and now you can too.

Cherry Cool Aid

I have some friends who lived in Okinawa  a few years ago and they always posted the most beautiful pictures. I will probably never have the pleasure of visiting there myself ,but that doesn’t mean I can’t pretend to visit there in SL. I was busy exploring profiles and tping to different shops I’d never heard of, in this case mostly Japanese stores, last night; I ended up running into the Okinawa Festival.  I was thrilled. So many cute clothes, and gachas and lucky boards. All a dork like me could hope for! Here are some goodies I got.

Go Brown. But not THE BROWNS.

I never choose brown, yet I always like it when I wear it. Warm and cozy, comfortable, browns are delicious and earthy and now that I’m swaddled in them I’m happy. For now.

There is a football team called the Browns. I’ve always thought this was a terrible name. I can’t get behind a color. How can I feel the ferocious violence of a sports team, and scream at them to destroy the opponent when they are just called the Browns? I just can’t. This is why I WILL NEVER ROOT FOR YOU BROWNS! Things Go Awry

Lately I have been having more trouble shooting on location than usual, but I really wanted to get off my platform, so I hopped over to Sky Neist Point and found this little beach and took a few snaps. I was dressed for wandering with this lovely linen dress with embroidery from Gizza. The jacket is attached to the dress and has a HUD giving three color options for the jacket. The dress comes in six options, this Boho style in pink, blue or creme,  gingham and a floral print. Continue reading →

From Blogger to Creator

I am always excited when a blogger becomes a clothing designer. I think of Milla Michanaga who formed MichaMi and Elysium Elide who started elymode and recognize that both of them focused long and hard on construction quality. I think that, being bloggers, they had this pre-formed set of standards that created a daunting hurdle to overcome before they began to release. Having noted construction flaws in other work, they felt an obligation to do as they say and held themselves to higher standards. So, when Thalia Heckroth™ told me she was moving into clothing design, I was excited. This is her first release and I am pleased to say she continues the tradition.

I built a fort in my living room for no better reason than that I could. I brought my records and some snacks, and determined to live in my fort for the night. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I was hearing the end of The Jerk in my head as I planned it. “And some watermelon, and this record player….and THAT’S ALL I NEED, and these sandwiches…”
