Lingerie Maker To Her Royal Highness…Or Something

I’m picky in my SL. Pixel Gidge is not low rent. I suppose I could role play low rent by WHY. I only want the best, the things I know aren’t junk. Because of that, there are some brands I will literally wear the hell out of, that’s because they’re always going to be high quality and I don’t even have to WONDER how they will look on me.

Take for instance, LUXURIA. In my little fantasy I keep Roslin locked away in a tower and she’s frantically sewing new lingerie for me to wear. I’ll feed her well but no one else can have my pretties. Luckily for you, that’s just a fantasy but I do covet her pretties very hard. She nails it every time she releases, sometimes smoldering sexy, sometimes adorable girl next door cute. Continue reading

Bandana Day 2015… The End Is Here

It’s Bandana Day, the day we take off our hair just for a day, to show respect for those who have to do without. We have the luxury in SL to be anything, do anything, wear anything. In our real lives we’re constrained by biology in ways many people never talk about. Illness, disability, these things impact our real lives but in SL people can get away from them, ignore them and be free from the constraints that reality places upon us.

But for one day we take off our hair to remember that beauty isn’t about hair, it isn’t about a thing you can see. Beauty is about who you are inside.

Hair is the ribbon on the package. It’s what inside the package that matters.

Hair Fair 2015 wraps up today. It’s your last chance to contribute to this amazing event by shopping at the wonderful shops that are participating. I hope you make it over if you haven’t yet.

I hope to see more of you without your hair today. I’m so proud of everyone I’ve seen on the feeds already.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Seraseeya, Watcher of the River of Souls

Helena Stringer - IOF - Seraseeya - 1

Seraseeya was an unusual creature. With a foot in both worlds, she was neither human, nor fully a beast. Her mother was a harpy who had the unfortunate accident of picking a human male as a mate. We wont go into details, but the result was Seraseeya, and her 3 other sisters.

Things were not too bad to start. The Harpy Broodmothers could tell there was something a bit different about them, they had funny feet and they lacked claws on their hands. There was not a feather on their head, nor much hair to speak of.  They let them be, thinking they would grow into their features.

As the years passed, it became apparent that there was indeed something wrong, they looked more human, than harpy. This would not do.

More story and credits below the cut.

Hair Fair Designers — Emerrem and Bertha Weiss

Emerrem and Berthaweiss are two sisters whose bonds in their real life just make their Second Live richer. Their store, .EMBW. was new to me at this year’s Hair Fair and I was excited to see their creations, particularly since I am always complaining there is not enough short hair.

With lovely friends ^-^

It’s Only Fashion: What’s the craziest thing you ever did in Second Life? Most exciting? Silliest? Is there a story you can share that captures your Second Life experience?

Emerrem and Bertha Weiss: WE LOVE DOING SILLY THINGS! We also photograph every silly moment. Like one time I wanted to see the creator of the little fairies, I tried to select “Edit” but my mouse went wrong to “Sit here,” the next moment I sit on that little fairy’s head with a silly sitting pose, and she carried me up and up and then stuck into the wall. xD Continue reading

Baby You Can Drive My Car – to Hair Fair

I like the accoutrement that completes my SL, little touches here and there. I’ve just added a BIG touch – a BIG honking car. I’ve always been a fan of cars in my SL – my avatar has places to go, she can’t be expected to bike and scooter everywhere can she? She’s American – so she LIKES a big car. This new beast from HAN fit the bill and there’s room in the back for a car seat should I ever bring the baby back from Auntie Inventory. I could pile all sorts of friends in this beast! You can pick one up, or another model, if you need a new car, or just want one HERE. But if you’d like to get your engine up and running very efficiently once again, then this Rebuilt Bosch injection pump brand new here is all you need! Also, if you’re looking for cheap car parts online, which at the same time correspond to original quality, then you can visit a site like https://forbrukerguiden.no/bildeler-pa-nett/ for some best preferences! After all NEED is rarely the right word around here. Continue reading

The String Mausoleum Has Your Hair Fair OUT THERE

Helena Stringer doesn’t like normal. In fact, I’d say she’s one of those people who believe normal isn’t healthy which I heartily agree with. I like it different, despite the fact that I normally rock a blonde haired blue eyed blogger girl, that’s a lazy comfort zone for me.

Hair Fair is where I often find myself taking a step outside of that comfort zone , and The String Mausoleum is very often where I find that reality come to life.

I’m not bringing you the gauntlet of the Hair Fair AWESOME from Helena but my three faves because I like things in threes. Continue reading

Go And See My Love

So there is this movie I LOVE that you haven’t seen. I saw it in Kansas City, at a random mall theater when I was 20. You see, I had traveled there to attend the Drum Corps International world championship, with a group of friends – most of whom were 21. What this meant was that when night fell after the event, part of us went to the bars, and part of us wondered wtf we were supposed to DO for the rest of the evening.

We wandered into a local mall and walked int the first movie that was playing. It was called THE BIG BLUE. It’s a story about a man who is more than a man, or perhaps less. It’s about friendship, and love, and jealousy, and the complexity of being part of the world where sometimes things don’t make sense.  It makes me cry, and it’s beautiful. Continue reading

I Think There’s A Clown Behind Me

It all started because of the ink. Scrolling through the Eloquence blog at events the other day, I saw these really pretty tattoos for SLINK bod and thought I would like them. But then I opened up the blog today to find the event and found ANOTHER event (Creation JP) and well – I had to go to that.

The next thing that happened was that Sasy went to the FIRST event (Kawaii Project Something I forget the name but maybe that’s the name I don’t know – oh there I linked it yes that’s the name) and she starts tossing me gacha extras. My old school gacha fever took hold and I started putting on everything I just had purchased and then some.

It’s guerilla styling – PUT ON EVERYTHING YOU JUST BOUGHT NOW AND SHOOT! GO GO GO GO! Continue reading

Home Again Home Again

Home after several days in Montreal and pixel Gidge is ready to spend her day chilling out at home. RL Gidge has to go to work, but lucky pixel Gidge can forever be a lazy, lazy girl. What a jerk.

Today she’s lounging around in casual separates from Fission, perfect for a casual Friday look that’s not sloppy. Continue reading
