Feels Like Fall

I have to confess I’m an addict for fall. While the heat in the RL stays in the 90s my SL turns into a pumpkin colored wonderland at the first hint of autumn. The SALEM event kicked off and that has to mean it’s fall doesn’t it? I’m positive it means that. I’m sporting new lips and eye BLACK MAGIC makeup from ALASKA METRO that you can pick up at SALEM.

I’m doing a bit of urban shopping today in a sharp suit from Baiastice and my favorite HAT HAIR from Hair Fair this year. Every year I declare a BEST HAT HAIR at Hair Fair and honestly – THIS IS IT FOR ME. SO CUTE. Perfect for the breezy city streets while I look for the next bargain! Continue reading →

Oh hai! Apparently there’s a trend on Flickr that consists of taking pictures sideways, or with an horizontal avatar. From what I understand the goal is to get one’s picture picked as group cover, then one snapshots said cover and posts it again on their Flickr. I find that last part highly ridiculous, but just like bloggers referring to designers as “sponsors”, I guess that’s how the world goes nowadays and you just have to go with the flow. I do miss simpler times, when one blogged just what they liked, when they liked it, and once in a while would get blogger copies and would be over the moon with them… oh well, I’ll just keep my old fart’s habits and hope people enjoy my ramblings. But just for today, just for the fun of it, here’s a horizontal picture :

As Gidge told you earlier, Hair Fair is here!! If you needed an extra reason to go, here are a few :

  1. It’s for a good cause : every purchase has a 15 to 40% donation to Wigs For Kids.
  2. The sims are really easy to navigate : start at landing point, follow the path and you will walk by every store.
  3. Everything has been made so that it’s not lag fest : minimalist decor and scripts. I do however recommend you wear a full alpha and nothing else, and show friends only, to help keep everyone’s experience nice and smooth.
  4. If you’re a hair whore like me, you’ll have your fix of gorgeous hair!

End of my holiday weekend winds down and finds me back at home on Juicy. I’m not sad though. I’ve been unpacking – slowly but surely. It’s kind of cathartic to reinvent my SLife in a new place again, even if that place is in fact an old place.

I slipped into some new lingerie that you can find at The Arcade. It’s perfect for a cozy evening in, alone or perhaps with someone special.  I personally still pine for my love who abandoned me for the glories of Azeroth. Maybe he’ll return someday. Adventures In An Off Road Coupe

With no real destination in mind I got behind the wheel at sunset and decided to travel off the beaten path. I just needed to get somewhere I hadn’t been, somewhere to be a silent version of me for a day perhaps, one where I could reflect and think alone.

I have a new car, so what better time to go exploring?

Dracarys Macaron

Two of my favorite things, macarons and the ability to set people on fire, are both available at the up coming round of The Arcade. I have to admit you would probably only get a wee bit singed by my friend here yet, I can dream.

The hat and purse are two of my favorites for this round. You can get the purse in rigged or unrigged versions which is helpful for you who have need of one vs. the other. It’s so cute, I would totally carry this purse in RL. Continue reading →

Oh hello! Have you seen the latest release from Cheeky Pea? It’s already available in the main store so no need to fight the lag at some overcrowded event. The lovely Carolyn Gazebo set features a gazebo (obviously), but also all the furniture you can see in the pictures : chair, sofa, coffee table, side table, chiminea (with flames!), coffee tray, rug and mugs, cute knick-knacks, and the loveliest potted daisies. I vote that Cheeky Pea start releasing more plants in the future, she’s really gifted with them!

As my UK friends complain about a 22°C “heat wave” (71°F), and another one in Arizona tells me it’s in the hundreds F where she lives, I, somewhere in the middle, struggle to sleep and suffer next to the fan all day.
