I’ve been desperate for three days to sleep in my own bed and now that I’m here I can relax. I’m so glad to be home on Juicy again, where I can sleep listening to the waves crashing on the shore. It’s a perfect spot for me, and I have to admit I feel so very spoiled living here.

I’m picky in my SL. Pixel Gidge is not low rent. I suppose I could role play low rent by WHY. I only want the best, the things I know aren’t junk. Because of that, there are some brands I will literally wear the hell out of, that’s because they’re always going to be high quality and I don’t even have to WONDER how they will look on me.
Take for instance, LUXURIA. In my little fantasy I keep Roslin locked away in a tower and she’s frantically sewing new lingerie for me to wear. I’ll feed her well but no one else can have my pretties. Luckily for you, that’s just a fantasy but I do covet her pretties very hard. In my youth I was notorious for ONE MORE when I got home. Just ONE MORE. You hate for the fun to end, just one more drink, something fun before you let sleep take over. It’s a time waster, filling your hours until reality returns. But it provides relief from whatever you’re avoiding anyway – at least sometimes it does.

In the past week I’ve had three deaths around the edges of my life, 2 in SL and 1 in the RL. I’ve had it.
Cajsa nailed it. It’s not a game if it makes you cry. Both of the people who died this week were not my besties. We didn’t talk “all the time”, we didn’t share secrets. But they were people who I took for granted, so my rage and grief is based in ego because I’m feeling sorry for myself that I didn’t value these people more. It’s causing me to evaluate myself, and wish I could do more for those who truly lost something, for those whose grief isn’t based in ego but in loss – some of whom are people I care about so very much in both lives. You might think Sascha’s Designs is just big old battleship sized ballgowns but you’d be missing out on a large part of what she releases these days if you did. She’s been making dresses and more casual wear (less formal?) for a while and she very frequently delights me with her releases. Such as this cheery dress recently released. I like the accoutrement that completes my SL, little touches here and there. I’ve just added a BIG touch – a BIG honking car. I’ve always been a fan of cars in my SL – my avatar has places to go, she can’t be expected to bike and scooter everywhere can she? She’s American – so she LIKES a big car. Helena Stringer doesn’t like normal. In fact, I’d say she’s one of those people who believe normal isn’t healthy which I heartily agree with. I like it different, despite the fact that I normally rock a blonde haired blue eyed blogger girl, that’s a lazy comfort zone for me.
