Halloween on Millbank

Gogo recommended the Halloween Experience over at the MILLBANK sim and I decided that once I had a cup of coffee it was time to get in the spirit. After all – this is one of my FAVORITE times of year on the grid. There is a haunted tour which is delightfully spooky.

It was a lot of fun, but then something weird happened. Right after I crossed over the cemetery…

I passed by this dude and his dog on a foggy street. I assume he lived there? I mean, it’s a street – I guess these are someone’s homes? Spooky people’s homes but homes nonetheless. Anyway, as i float along a walking path I realize that he is running behind me. He’s following me!

WHY? What are you doing ?

He never spoke to me, but he and his big dog essentially chased after me the last 1/3 of the tour, following me like some creepy killer. It was actually unnerving.

It reminded me a lot of the early days of the grid where noobs like me wouldn’t have their lots restricted and people would barge in and threaten you, as though they could do something to you. They couldn’t, but it was scary and weird when it would happen. I’m not sure why this dude was following me or what he was even doing. Maybe I just happened to be taking his favorite dog walking path.

Except dogs in SL don’t ACTUALLY have to be walked.

I’m totally getting my big dog out when I get home. This is some boo sheet.

Gonna eat this entire cake

I spent my Saturday doing a lot of nothing here in my favorite pixel world when it occurred to me – I should SURELY have a kitten box by now! SURELY! A quick area search revealed that yes indeed, the SL16B Birthday KittyCats had DONE THEIR MAGIC and made me a kitten. I baked a cake while I waited on it to hatch. 

Meet Kiva

I’m a little excited because this is the FIRST special sized KittyCat I’ve ever gotten. I’d love one of those GIANT ones (how nice to snuggle, am I right?) but this one is going to be a toy TINY little one forever it seems. That’s fine – I’m gonna probably toss it in to the inventory bin before long anyway. 

I did a wee bit of shopping earlier, grabbed this apropos tee at e.Marie – had to have it obviously.

Now I’m wondering should i get my pajamas on early and curl up for a movie ? So many choices on this chill Saturday evening.

End of my holiday weekend winds down and finds me back at home on Juicy. I’m not sad though. I’ve been unpacking – slowly but surely. It’s kind of cathartic to reinvent my SLife in a new place again, even if that place is in fact an old place.

I slipped into some new lingerie that you can find at The Arcade. It’s perfect for a cozy evening in, alone or perhaps with someone special.  I personally still pine for my love who abandoned me for the glories of Azeroth. Maybe he’ll return someday. Adventures In An Off Road Coupe

With no real destination in mind I got behind the wheel at sunset and decided to travel off the beaten path. I just needed to get somewhere I hadn’t been, somewhere to be a silent version of me for a day perhaps, one where I could reflect and think alone.

I have a new car, so what better time to go exploring?

Last Day of Vacation Blues

I ordered room service last night and fell asleep without eating it. Nice, right? Luckily my all inclusive resort includes meals brought in, so I know there will be something waiting for me downstairs. I’ve missed breakfast though. This rainy weather just tells me to sleep and sleep, so I did.

Yes, it’s definitely lunch time.

I wonder how many people they think are here? Anyone want to come help me eat all this?

It’s a perfect day to relax and do a lot of nothing. I’ve got a good book and some delicious treats. I might even get some post cards sent out – like a proper vacationing adult might.  Continue reading →

I Might Have An Addiction

One of the things I love about The Arcade is it’s ever continuing magic when it comes to providing us with more things for the narrative of our individual SLs.

For me, that narrative is chocked full of…..pets.

My friend and fellow blogger visited the other day and said if it was a RL house it would smell, it was so full of pets. Alas it’s true. I’ve got this dog and that cat and the other thing, not to mention my Kittycats themselves. Give me your pets, your fishtanks, your sweet little loves to run around my house and make it less empty.
