It’s a combination of talent, reputation and love of what they do that they put into every piece they release. Events get tired, and worn out. My latest trip to FaMESHed (Ok I quit calling it Fame Shed except in my mind) was quickly turned into one of whimsy when I ran into this sweater from Mutresse. I bought it thinking I was getting one color, and that it displayed the graphic above. Seriously, it makes me lawl.
What I didn’t realize was that it came with a texture change huge, loads of colors AND little sayings. None as satirical and witty as THIS ONE imho but, that’s just me.

One of my favorite features on iTunes, is the “Also Bought” suggestions that show up. The idea is simple, you like something, someone else liked it, so you might like what they liked. That was how I came across Valerie June, a new addition to my list of favorite singers. She’s such a fascinating blend of R&B, folk, gospel and even a bit country that you just cannot pigeonhole in any genre. That kind of versatility is not necessarily an advantage. It often seems the most underrated singers are those who cannot fit in one simple slot. Anyway, if you like Amy Winehouse, Macy Grey, Brittany Howard and the other gritty vocal divas, you will love her.

I was tired, cranky and out of sorts, trying to think of a good title for this blog post, I shared this photo on plurk asking for ideas for a post title. They were no help at all, not because they didn’t help, but but because they helped too well.
Really, how can I choose between Sophee Mojo’s elegant and oh-so-autumnal suggestion of the title “Nothing Gold Can Stay” from Robert Frost’s lovely poem.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
But then there’s Tymmerie Thorne reminder of the commercial we have all seen again and again, “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”

When Angie Mornington plurked this picture with the comment, “Oooh Randy Jackson Victory Tour pants! I might get these.” I thought for sure I would get them, if I could get the mental image of Randy Jackson wearing them out of my head. Really, I had never noticed that Randy Jackson was into clothes that much. Mainly he was into saying, “That’s pitchy, Dawg” Whatever, the mental image of him in these pants was not a good one. Turns out she meant a different Randy Jackson.
