A Blogger’s Work Is Not Begging

I started out my early morning shopping and usual blogger work a bit earlier than usual today. I think of blogging both as my SL Hobby and let’s face it, it’s also a bit of a job. Some people role play families, some people role play being a space pirate, some people role play being a cabbage for all I know. I guess that makes my role play in SL being a fashion blogger.  I love it, I love styling my pixel self, I love the choices and variety of fashion – I love that high heels NEVER NEVER NEVER hurt my feet. Twinkling

It’s cold and rainy with possible ice incoming in RL so the only recipe to solve that sort of crisis is obviously to dress up in SL. I’m wearing a new release from Sacha’s designs that is so twinkly and glittery my video card can’t show it to you.  It reminds me of what it would look like if taffeta and sequins had a baby. The original title of this post was “If you go out in the woods today…” because it was going through my head while I was getting dressed. Then I went looking around on Honour McMillan’s blog for a good place to shoot and EXACTLY the place I wanted was found in a blog post by the same name. KISMET! But I figured, she just used that title, I know we’ve used it, I’ve got to come up with something new.

I realized I’m clearly headed to Grandmother’s in this outfit. Traditionally I’m taking her a basket of food as she’s sick. So obviously, in this version of the tale, Grandmother is going to be having three eyed cat soup. Right? Yum yum. Continue reading →

I was honored to be asked to DJ the first half of the Closing Party for Rouge, the incomparable sim that was the brainchild of Codebastard Redgrave (Codie) and Eshi Otawara. Because Rouge is Red and Red is Codie raison d’être, I knew I had to wear red, just as I did to the opening party back in July, 2008. With its dance poles and feather boa foliage, Rogue is a place to wear your naughty and flirtatious outfits, so I was thrilled that Azul released Likka, a brand new burlesque corset and skirt just in time for the party. How perfect is that.

Monica Outlander of MiaMai has created in real life and now in Second Life®, a collection of talismanic sprites that  can bring health and happiness to those who invest the power of belief in them. If your worldview is more prosaic and devoid of supernatural beliefs, they can also be enjoyed for their quirky adorability and the come with a magnificent free shelf that can be used to display these sprites, but I think I will also rez a few more of these shelves for otters things as well.

High Plains Fairy Drifter

I’ve been playing in ARCADE items today and the VCO Fairy Mesh Heads have caught my fancy. I don’t wear mesh heads regularly but this is pretty cute, and there is a nice selection of them if something you enjoy. I really love that you can choose your eyes, and hairbase via hud, makes it nice to switch up your look or keep it close to your avatar’s look for hair matching etc.  Continue reading →

Cookies are a valid breakfast. I decided this morning that only cookies would do, and at the same time I realized there are “breakfast cookies” and “diet cookies” and this really means that cookies are now officially a good for you food, right?
