Moving Back Home

After leaving the islands where Cajsa and I were so happy for several years, I’ve returned to a spot on one of what was always my favorite places….Juicy.

It’s a tropical paradise you see, and just the sort of escape I can use from time to time. There’s room here for both Cajsa and I to enjoy the surf and relaxation of a well kept sim, as well as beautiful shops at our fingertips. It’s a bloggers’ dream really.

I’ve got a bit unpacked, but I found a record player and I am afraid I indulged in a bit of fun for a while rather than working.

I’ve got to find a spot to rezz all my old house so I can drag out the things I can’t get unpacked.

I got dressed this morning and felt like doing a bit of exploring. Of course then I couldn’t find anything that wasn’t crap for about an hour.  I was about to give up, and declare today’s round of exploration a fail when I Bryn Oh’s name came up in my searching for this and that. Unicorns and Baby Pools

Sophie has returned from Auntie Inventory and I confess I’m a bit happy to have her home.

Let’s face it, it widens my shopping opportunities immensely now doesn’t it?

I was feeling like a bit of a pool lounge today because after I picked up the cute pumps that were out for FLF I found THESE and well my first thought was “These are the pool shoes you’ve been dreaming of Gidge, make them yours.”

Summer’s The Thing

Well I couldn’t resist taking some snaps as I wandered around SUMMERFEST this year. The layout is just adorable, with sweet vignettes set up and so while I wandered, shopped and ate my cotton candy I just couldn’t not contain my enthusiasm.

Is there ever an event that you always truly enjoy, yet struggle to remember? That’s me with Summerfest. It’s a nice layout, always lovely items and just a fantastic shopping experience but for some reason despite the fact that I’m thrilled when it arrives – more often than not it closes and there I sit, forlorn at having forgotten to go. Adam & Eve have released some lovely new pretties for VINTAGE FAIR and I had to hit the town in this beautiful dress made JUST for dancing. The swirl of the skirt and lovely fabrics have my swooshing around the grid in glee.

I had to have the PINK Convertible from Consignment at THE ARCADE this month and as a result, my friends got cars. YAY for my friends right? But I DID end up with the pink eventually which is really all that matters.

After the Doom

I come in to the settlements to get news or when it’s barter time, just to make an appearance.  It’s important not to be forgotten out here. Not that anyone would be likely to be helpful if there was help that was needed. It’s more about position, about who you are in the grand scheme of things.

I don’t barter.

I take what I want and everyone can just like it or not.  Mostly, I don’t take anything. No need to create friction, unless I just feel like having a fight. Mostly I don’t.

I come in to the main settlement every few weeks and wander around the perimeter. You never know what you’re going to find in the settlements, newcomers, oldbies with an axe to grind that’s as old as glitchpants, or calm. I am not here for trouble, just to learn what’s new, and to remind them I’m here.
