Browsing through my contacts on Flickr the other day, I saw a batch of vendor ads from Countdown. They were so stunning, I didn’t just make a note to go check it out, but instead logged in right and snapped up a few of the dresses. Countdown is not new, but it is new to me and that makes me ask, “Countdown, where have you been all my SLife?”
Could there be designs more suited to draw me in? Look at the classic lines combined with the modern details like the sheer chevrons that embrace the belt and highlight the waist. The sheer elements at the neckline and waist flirt with sensuality, but never stray close to the line.
(Note to Designers: This is why you put vendor ads on Flickr.)
The dress is made with system layers for the bodice and the skirt but uses a mesh prim over the pants layer so it has none of the discordant and obnoxious qualities of the old crotch prim. It moves as you dance and walk around and blends seamlessly. I am also wearing the SLink hands that I may never take off again.
I had a hard time deciding on what shoes to wear and finally popped over to Nardcotix to pick up another color of her luscious glitter peeptoes. This nude shade is perfect for this dress and will go well with many others as well.
The skin is from a special mini-release by PXL Creations for the Around the World event that is planned to honor the cultures of the world. I added the accompanying Cat Eye makeup tattoo for an element of mystery. The jewelry is from Donna Flora and as beautiful as ever. The hair is from Lelutka. Called Salome, I love its wild riot of curls that struck me as a fun counterbalance to the formality of the dress.
