So part of my 2011 year of change and positivity plan, was to try modelling and runway again. Of course its not as simple as “Oh hai, I wanna join your agency and be a supa-star”, unless perhaps, you already are a supa-star or a crowd drawing “name” in the second life fashion world and stuff.
There are lots of competitions that have potential models demonstrating their abilities. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for those running legit competitions to actually narrow down and choose just a few, from the equally talented and beautiful people all hopeful for a chance. I know there are some people out there that do believe, modelling in SL is just a matter of sliders and who you know, and perhaps in some cases this is true, but in the majority of those I’ve met and admire, a huge amount of work and dedication was required, the easier the model makes it look, the harder they have prepared to pull that off.
You can’t win them all, its is said, but you are a winner, if you continue to learn and grow and celebrate in others successes, and of course, the most important thing,, though you may get discouraged, and disappointed, is to Keep on Trying!!
