It’s not the dress’ fault. I planned to wear it – the short version – so it wasn’t too dressy. We had our one year anniversary party and I thought I would dress up a bit with this LaPointe black silk. But real life intervened and I got home with minutes to spare before logging in and had to lay out the dance balls and dance floor and all that…so I told the folder to add items and rushed about. And nothing rezzed. When one prim piece rezzed after the party started it was a peach skirt. hmmmm. Must have done the wrong folder.I put worn in the search term and hmmm, I am not wearing this, but I draw a blank trying to remember the outfit I am wearing.
So you ask, how can you really being a blogging fashionista if you don’t even know what you are wearing to the biggest party you throw all year? It’s chutzpah, dear, pure chutzpah.
The party was great fun and Maht did a fabulous set with songs with the theme of a year or of photographs. Perhpas he will put up the playlist on his blog…though he’s a slacker blogging his playlist. We gave out a fun mix of raffle items using our raffle ball that develops intense crushes on people. Meanwhile our dance ball was having a nervous breakdown and perpetually announcing that so and so had left – which they had not.
It was great seeing friends who we haven’t seen in a while and some of our first clients, people who knew our studio when it was back in Glookbone and all higgledy-piggledy because we we bought pieces of land as they came up for sale…and they werent’ squarely adjacent but offset adjacent. We loved that place.
We also gave folks who came a gift of photos from the past year that we called the Art of MDR – most were not client photos – since most clients want pretty straightforward portrait or portfolio shots. However, some clients are more adventurous and have said yes to our, “how you like to….” suggestions. You can get your own copy of the book free from OnRez here.
I hope to see you there next year for our Second Anniversary. Now…I never completely rezzed all night long, so when I log in this morning, if it’s not a hot mess, I will shoot what I wore last night…the mystery outfit with the peach pouf skirt.
