All week I have watched the build up to the Dress-Off between Alphamale and Blacklace designers Yelmer Pfeffer and Mariska Simons. Having never met either of them, I am not particularly invested in whether he wears a dress or she goes bald, but I was curious what that sort of motivation coudl engender. And of course I have no idea who made what, but I know which dress got my vote. After buying the dress, I instantly knew I had to photograph it at Crucible.
Choosing black was a smart move, though the imperial richness of the purple is tempting as well. What really drew me to this dress though, was the simple flow of the a-line skirt – it’s lack of poofiness. Its simplicity.
The lacing corsest on the waist is luscious and beautifully made. It keeps it lines and looks good in several poses.
I wore my Tesla Vixen Classic II black pumps, though the length of the dress keeps you from seeing their glossy black sleekness, but like underwear, whether you see it or not, you like to know it’s there.
I wore the Elemental Moods Changeling necklace and the Tuli Elizabeth Harlow skin. There are many more photos @ Flickr.

Thank you. I see now that the dress was designed by Mariska Simons and was the competition winner. So poor Yelmer must wear a dress for one week. May I suggest this one? It’s clearly a winner.
