Thanksgiving Prep Is IN EFFECT!

Oh my GOSH you guys the Thanksgiving holiday is almost here! I’ve got so much to cook and get ready because I hope to have some guests at my new bigger house this year! It’s a lot for one girl to do, but I know I can be ready before tomorrow.

Lacuna released two tone turtlenecks that are perfect for a cute look but casual comfort.  I had made an early run to Casa de Shai for her new polka dotted jeans release and just happened to pick them up in a chocolate color to coordinate – PERFECT!

My cat leaves hair everywhere, I should hire a maid because vacuuming is so tiring. And now I have such a bigger space to vacuum. Continue reading

Baby, It’s Cold Outside – for MY ATTIC

It might have been an obligatory blog post title as temps drop, but no, it’s the theme this month for MY ATTIC where a host of your favorite and maybe new to you designers have created a great round of new releases – themed, you guessed it – Baby, It’s Cold Outside.

My release for the event is a set of poses I made that I needed for blogging coats – coats can be cumbersome, but of course they work with other things too. I thought the recent release of a coat with optional dress under it from ColdLogic made a perfect choice. And look I didn’t even wear pink. Continue reading

Subtle and Deadly

When I was a young lady I took a class for several months. It taught us how to BE young ladies, more to the point young women. One of the things we learned, was the ladylike way to stand, walk, and sit in a heeled shoe.  We practiced in a heel of conservative style and elegance, and by the time we graduated, if you couldn’t walk in your heels when they were done I suspect you were cast into the realm of UNLADYLIKE THINGS. Beige Patent Pumps Just Like Kate

I heard a radio show shortly before the Royal Wedding, talking about beige patent pumps. Beige patent pumps are apparently everything. Kate Middleton had been seeing wearing them at appearances, suddenly you had to have them. The morning shopping guide on the radio show (because this is now a thing apparently) went through and told us what brand Kate was wearing and since we obviously can’t afford those (commoners) told us where to get them priced in our (commoner) price range.

Luckily for us pixel girls, LVLE has come out with a gorgeous pair of beige pumps that fit the bill with gorgeous texturing that subtly shines.  We might not get to marry a prince, but we’ve got cute shoes so really, that’s probably good enough.

Pixel princes are a dime a dozen anyway, girls. Continue reading

WTB MATS SHINY SPARKLY PST FOR INFO

I was underwhelmed with Materials the first few releases I was introduced to. I don’t mean that as an insult, but as a consumer when you hear creators raving about something for weeks and then you see and think “Oh, that’s all it is? Shiny?” it’s hard to disguise your let down.

I definitely agree that items with materials have more lustre, but other than some furniture items (leather) I just didn’t see the OOOMPH or a real reason to rave like it was the second coming. Continue reading

Halloween Arrives

Ok yeah I got my Zooby baby a Halloween costume again. Sometimes I like dressing up my wee doll as much as I like dressing up my Gidge doll. But I couldn’t resist sending Gidge out to pull pixel single mom duty with her wee doll for Halloween. Continue reading

I Come In Your Nightmares

Miamai has again released an evening gown that is as elegant as it is amazing. Rich with movement and textured deliciously, this would be an amazing evening gown for any formal event for the upcoming social season.

Its just so happens that she also released some devil horns hair for Halloween, and I thought PERFECT.

Glamorous demon. Continue reading

Spending My Sunday in a 2 Linden Dress

Everyone once in a while I like to flit about to the scarier part of Marketplace. I usually don’t know what I’m looking for, just that when I see it it will be mine. I’m speaking of the nearly free section. Continue reading
