Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I shot these pictures at the World’s End Garden – and opted for fire since I am wearing the blazing red J.e. dress from Azul. Designed by Mami Jewell for the Miss Mundo Virtual contestant Jeanie Waydelich. When the dress moves, the sheen of the fabric flicker like flame.

This is a sexy dress with a band of gold sequins drawing attention toward your breasts and shoulders and with a low back that just asks to be touched. Mami Jewell is the Queen of the Backless Gown and has entranced me with her gorgeous sweeping open backs since the first time I wore one of her gowns.

An elegant updo from Truth and a flamboyant parure from Kunglers and I am as ready as one can be for the World’s End.

And now for a little music.

  2. That is still one of my favorite dresses of all time!

There’s a funny story about that post. I got an IM from an ex-boyfriend after I posted it saying how gorgeous it was and so on. At first I thought he was trying to flirt and perhaps take up our relationship again. But, while I was preparing a gentle deflection, imagine my surprise when he asked if I thought it would be a good gift for his new girlfriend! I definitely encouraged him to get it for her because it would be a perfect gift and who could resist such a lovely man bearing such a lovely gift?
