VCO has skin and a cute pouty lip mouth in The Arcade this round. I didn’t have any trouble with this mouth, in terms of making it look right. I’ve heard feeback from some mouths out there that you have to PS them a bit to make them look right. I simply used the resize option built into it to enlarge it a bit and adjusted it on my face to the right spot.

It might have been an obligatory blog post title as temps drop, but no, it’s the theme this month for MY ATTIC where a host of your favorite and maybe new to you designers have created a great round of new releases – themed, you guessed it – Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
My release for the event is a set of poses I made that I needed for blogging coats – coats can be cumbersome, but of course they work with other things too. I picked up new heels from LaRoo at Shoetopia and they’re adorable. They’ve got an easy skin matching system, puts me in mine of how GOS does it with a database. The match for me was fast and easy. My latest trip to FaMESHed (Ok I quit calling it Fame Shed except in my mind) was quickly turned into one of whimsy when I ran into this sweater from Mutresse. I bought it thinking I was getting one color, and that it displayed the graphic above. Seriously, it makes me lawl.
What I didn’t realize was that it came with a texture change huge, loads of colors AND little sayings. None as satirical and witty as THIS ONE imho but, that’s just me.

I heard a radio show shortly before the Royal Wedding, talking about beige patent pumps. Beige patent pumps are apparently everything. Kate Middleton had been seeing wearing them at appearances, suddenly you had to have them. The morning shopping guide on the radio show (because this is now a thing apparently) went through and told us what brand Kate was wearing and since we obviously can’t afford those (commoners) told us where to get them priced in our (commoner) price range.
Luckily for us pixel girls, LVLE has come out with a gorgeous pair of beige pumps that fit the bill with gorgeous texturing that subtly shines. We might not get to marry a prince, but we’ve got cute shoes so really, that’s probably good enough.

I was underwhelmed with Materials the first few releases I was introduced to. I don’t mean that as an insult, but as a consumer when you hear creators raving about something for weeks and then you see and think “Oh, that’s all it is? Shiny?” it’s hard to disguise your let down.
I definitely agree that items with materials have more lustre, but other than some furniture items (leather) I just didn’t see the OOOMPH or a real reason to rave like it was the second coming. Continue reading
