Codie and I have decided that the only way to afford our ARCADE addictions is to get proper jobs.  Standing all day in a hot food truck pays better than you might think. And we get all the fancy coffee drinks we want.

Now if I could get Codie to help out. That girl is lazy. I told her not to wear stockings and heels in here!

It’s worth it though! ARCADE IS HERE YAAAAY !!

Gone Almost Fishing

So Gidge and I were going to go fishing for walleye, the Minnesota state fish. I don’t know if you can see it clearly, but that is a Minnesota boat, you can tell by the license. Walleye are the most delicious fish that have ever been eaten by anyone ever in the history of all mankind. That’s a fact. So, I am eager to get cracking and toss that line in the water. But where is Gidge?

Do These Glasses Make Me Look Smart?

The glasses and necklaces from YUMMY this round of COLLABOR88 are rocking my socks, nearly as much as anything else.  It’s difficult when one of your favorite styles in SL is all around you, to choose which thing you like best. So I won’t choose. I love the hair, I love the skin, I love the decor, I just LOVE it all.

I Got Stuck On Monday

Pixel Gidge had a hectic Monday. Life is harder when everything is slow in your SL. But she got dressed in a cute new jumpsuit from BAIASTICE for FAMESHED, and managed to make her coffee for the day.

That’s where she got stuck, alas.

There were more pictures, there were shoes. But my computer put them somewhere secret. So they aren’t to be known.

But PIxel Gidge had her caffeine and headed out into the world. What fashion and adventures she found remain to be seen.

I love word play and every time I see the bumper sticker demanding “Whirled Peas Now!” I crack up. In our Second Life “whirled” we are lucky enough to have the fabulous efforts of a group of scripters, builders and other assorted geniuses from MadPea Productions who produce interactive adventures and games with stunning artistry. That folks in Second Life love and enjoy their work is evidenced by a simple search for MadPea on Flickr.

Change Is Good

Convair has released a new house that is perfect for those of us who dwell next to the water, or heck for anyone who likes wide open spaces inside their home. I’ve just started to settle in, it takes me a while to sort out what from the old I will keep and what I want that is new. The Pinewood Cottage has a large open floorplan on the first floor and I’ve already gotten the dining area and the kitchen started.

The Darya Dining set from Trompe Loeil is available at Fameshed and comes in a variety of seasonal or neutral tones, plus you can put out plates and flatware as you like, based on you prim allowance. I have chosen the SPRING set with the blues and pinks as accents. I’ve added a mexican feast from Rassassy that I picked up last year.  Continue reading →

The Enchantment of Beauty Begins

The Enchantment event has kicked off and there is a lot that’s new and exciting for this round. Today I’m showing off the gown from the Annex (slightly), the skin which is a gift from The Sugar Garden for a completed stamp card, and the veiled horns from tsg, as well as the hair from Mina.

There is a step by step set of instructions courtesy of Voshie on the BLOG as well as – ALL THE SLURLS WOOOOO! Everything you need to shop and or fill out one or more stamp cards!

Don’t forget, stamp cards ARE transferable so you can always gift one to a pal if you don’t need it!

My Neck Is Made Of Steel

I love rollers for my SL hair. I love all things that, as my friend Isla says “enhance the narrative”. Pixel Gidge is a character and her pixel life is played out for the most part here on this blog. Rollers are exactly what a girl this prissy would need, and let’s face it, she would have LOTS of different kinds.

Tiny Bird released a set of can rollers YEARS ago that were adorable. This past week Truth and Ploom both released roller hair dos for us pixel girls, and since I’ve already blogged Truth’s – let’s take a look at PLOOM!

Ploom made roller cans which is hilarious and cute.  As always you can use the hair dye hud of your choice – I’m using one of the dipped huds. I also am amused because these cans appear to be full.

NO SACRIFICE IS TOO GREAT FOR BEAUTIFUL HAIR LADIES. I don’t care what they weigh – get those cans in your hair. It’s Friday – time to get cute!
