I’m excited to be reveling in winter in SL while having lovely days in RL. Yay for living in a warmer part of the country. I am not sure what the new year holds, a lot of people are making resolutions. Do you make them? I sometimes feel like resolutions are just attention whoring “Look at me look at me!” but maybe they’re genuine attempts at making positive changes. It’s definitely not for me to say!

I’m excited a new year is coming, and changes are ahead. I hope you are too.

The title was the first thing I thought of when I slipped into this cloak and gown set from Sascha’s Designs yesterday. Lucy van Pelt understood the importance of wearing the crown, so I couldn’t resist this opportunity to do so myself.  It’s a lovely gown for the winter holiday entertaining season WITHOUT the cloak of course, but it’s a lovely winter ensemble all together so I had to include both the cloak and the tiara. Freak Shows of Emotion

I am, in general, an overly emotional person. I can assign meaning to things that have none to the one rendering the action. Hurts hit me and don’t fade with time. I hold grudges. Except that over the past few months I’ve had a realization, I stopped caring about them.

I realized it when I was talking to blogger Sam Laszlo on plurk, and I said something like, “I think you don’t like me, or I don’t like you – I can’t remember which.”  We ran into each other at the blogger preview for Arcade and he asked me if we were still at war, at which point we added each other to our friends list and laughed.

I came to SL for a place to relax and get away from the hectic RL and somehow it took on a life of it’s own and has had so much drama it should be a show.  I somehow ended up with actual enemies, something I can’t fathom having in real life. Who the hell has enemies? Is this Sherwood Forest? Should I be afraid of the Sheriff too?  Continue reading →

The Fitted Mesh Of My Dreams

It’s the season for cocktail dresses and great big jewels, so you can imagine my joy to see that Sysy’s has released perfect cocktail dresses for the season, and they’re only 95L at My Attic during the event.  I remember the first time I put on fitted mesh when it wasn’t compatible with my mesh body and the absolute RAGE I felt that I couldn’t wear them together.
