I have to say I’m enjoying the peace and quiet out here in this snowy wonderland. When I came in today from hiking however, I found another couple shagging in my cabin! Can you believe it? I’m shocked. SHOCKED I tell you. Well luckily here are plenty of them here so I just packed it up and walked over to the biggest cabin I could find. I think this one suits me better anyway.

I’m a fancy girl after all.

I’m enjoying another fine cocktail from my favorite Mixmaster over at ChicChica. Delicious, I say. Just hits the spot perfectly and now I’m ready to curl up with a book and watch the snow fall.

This owl is staring at me though. It’s akward.

Snowy Getaway

I rented a little place to get away this weekend and wasn’t disappointed with the snow and cold. I do love the holidays and my island home never is anything but beach paradise which is lovely yet – I long for the snow.

So here I am, spotting a polar bear cub and wondering where her mama is. I had better get inside I suppose.

    I have my nightcap – and a snack on top. This might be a perfect drink honestly – a donut and a martini? I’m in love. This is one of the delicious drinks from ChicChica available at this round of Arcade.

    Now, I’m going to go find some comfy pajamas and settle in. How’s your Saturday night?

    I cooked way too much. I knew I was going to be solo but still, I couldn’t resist thinking of the glorious leftovers. Forgetting, though, that I just have this minifridge right now.

      Writing Hits a Wall

      Does this ever happen to you? You have this great idea and then you sit down to let it out at the keyboard and you just stare off into space wondering what to say?

      I struggled so much this weekend to put words together to share my thoughts and the words just denied me. I couldn’t get them out correctly. I knew what I wanted to say but how to say it? Just evaded me as is the norm lately.

      I finally was able to find my inspiration and solved my quandary but it took so long. It used to feel so natural but lately it’s been a challenge.

      Does this happen to everyone?

      Someday the words will flow, and I won’t drive my fingers into the flesh of my arm. Someday.
