Oh hi! Today I didn’t go to work because of what I thought was a sciatica. Turns out it’s a tendonitis in my buttock. Yes, you may laugh, and no, I don’t know how I did that. Anyway, since I had a little time at home on my own, I managed to put together an outfit and take a few pictures.

I went to Uber and grabbed a few of the gifts that each store has, as it’s a birthday round. These lovely glasses were one of them. So were the adorable fairy lights in the picture below. I also grabbed (not a gift but worth it) another set of gorgeous rings from Yummy, and the matching nails from Nylon Outfitters.

One would think, with two boys under 5 at home, my life would be filled with toy cars and firetrucks… well, actually, it is. But my oldest is also very much into princesses at the moment. Very. Much. His imaginary friends are called Anna and Elsa. So when he walked by my computer earlier this morning, he went “waaaaaaaaah! Mummy!! You’re a PRINCESS!! So pretty!”

Also, I finally gave in and got myself one of the new Evolution heads at LeLutka. Actually that happened a while ago but it took me weeks to make it look like “me”. Now, I’m quite pleased, because I can wear some of my old system skins. Not today though, today, I’m wearing one of the latest Lara Hurley, and I have to say I love it.

Oh hello!! Did you know Uber is open? It has been crazy full for the past few days, but it should get easier now. I managed to get in though, and got myself the latest wonder from Truth, as well as that gorgeous top from Teefy. It’s sexier than what I usually wear, but somehow it feels classy on me. I covered my bosom a bit though, with a lovely necklace from Maxi Gossamer, she has regular sales, and this one was heavily discounted when I went.

So, Blueberry has a new gorgeous piece of clothing out. It’s called Liza, and it’s supposed to be a dress. However, my toon being very modest, there’s no way she would ever wear it as one. I therefore had to find her something to wear under it. I tried all my jeans, and leggings, and nothing fit. It made me sad. Then someone suggested Izzie’s, and sure enough, I found exactly what I needed.

You know these Ingenue flats I found at Shoetopia, and was telling you about in my previous post? Turns out the “Cotton” colour can be tinted, so now I have, in addition to the fatpack, a billion possibilities to match my outfits!

I love, love love my Simone head. It was my first Bento head and so far I haven’t found one that I can shape to look like what I want, as much as this one. But I find the poses a bit mean looking, for the most part. So when I found that new HUD from Happy Dispatch, I was eager to try it. You can animate the eyes and mouth separately, and adjust the amount of animation you want, like there’s that one smile that makes me look like I’m about to eat you, but if I tone it down, it’s lovely! You should go try it.

In the world of Second Life, people tend to buy clothes at events, wear them once, then change into their next purchase and never look at that first outfit again, even though they were drooling over it when it first came out. For some reason I don’t really like to do that. Of course, I do buy things at events, when they’re brand new and everyone is raving over them too. But I like to shop in stores, and dig out old things in my inventory. When they are good, they don’t get out of style, and it’s the case with that top from Cold Logic. It predates mesh bodies and I’m wearing a size S on my Maitreya Lara. I had to alpha my elbows and part of my back, but honestly, autohide today would do the same.

What A Day For A Daydream

Styling and trying on new things is a huge part of my job. Sometimes it seems like my waking and sleeping hours are filled with my brain just thinking about new things to wear and how I’m going to wear them.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a hardship. Looking fantastic in lovely clothes is probably one of my favorite activities if the truth be told.  Today I’m thinking about my accessory choices for this amazing dress from Clef de Peau that I picked up on Fifty Linden Friday. Old Enemies New Friends

I have, multiple times, realized I was so SLold that I could no longer quite fully recall why I disliked someone. Early days of plurk wars, SCD wars, fashion drama left so much in their wake in terms of scorched earth and friendships destroyed. Lines were drawn so long ago between camps that I can no longer recall why they were drawn, nor which camp I actually belong to.

I’m failing at partisanship.

It would be meaningful if I could recall why I didn’t like him, but I can’t and lately I find him rather friendly and nice and I’m finally SLold enough that I don’t feel a strong need to AGREE with or APPROVE of everyone I meet.

Thus, now I’m friends with Sands.

He and I are both done with all those things from the past, apparently, because we had a lovely chat and he gave me some pants. He also gave me a jacket. He’s a gentleman like that. (Okay he’s NOT but let me be artistically creative alright?)

It’s also kinda cool when you look up and someone you’ve known for years is suddenly quite talented and making things. That’s the case here, and his brand Azuchi doesn’t disappoint. These pants, which can you pick up at UBER) are really lovely, richly textured and they fit like a dream. I really do like these, they are a must have for your pants wardrobe girls.

It’s probably end times, when Sands and are are friends. Or – maybe it’s how it’s supposed to be and all those other people were the douchebags after all.

History really does point to the latter.

No, I’m not banging him. STOP THINKING IT. God you’re rude.

Now, go shopping. GET IT! You know you need some new leather pants.
