I fell in love with the Nayra long skirt released by Baistice’s Sissy Pessoa at February’s Collaboir88. Released in a range of colors, it was released with a matching set of sweaters for the modernist fashion of elevating casual elements by mixing them with formal. pieces. Collabor88’s theme for the month is Miami Electric – featuring the electric tropical colors that bring to mind that sunny city. I have never been to Miami, so all I know about it is from the media. Those aerial shots in CSI Miami make it look like an architectural center of excellence – beautiful and pristine. Real Housewives made it seem less than perfect,let’s say but, of course, the strongest influence on my impression of Miami is the infamous Florida man. Hair Fair opens tomorrow. While DJing the opening party, I hunted far and wide stalking the wild hair, the short hair, the curly hair, the long, straight, curly, fuzzy, naggy, shaggy, ratty, natty, oily, greasy, fleecy, shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen, knotted, polka-dotted, twisted, beaded, braided, powdered, flowered, and confettied, bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!
Since joining Second Life®, I have never missed Hair Fair and have to say this is my favorite build. The build is just a whole lot of hair product and I cracked up when I sounded out the name of the product. The stores are inside the product boxes and the creativity of the designers in decorating the boxes is another part of the fun of Hair Fair. Continue reading
I generally don’t wear clothing that is super revealing, but I just loved this Spiky Fur top from Gizza – even with all the side boob and boy, oh boy, is there side boob. I had to wear it a couple sizes smaller than usual to keep it from revealing more than just the side. But isn’t it fun? and sexy? and irresistible? I had to wear it. It comes in black and white and I am sure you will be seeing the black one sooner or later. It comes in two pieces, the tank which is kept from blowing in the wind by a thin tie along the sides – so if you fit it right, it will be secure. The second piece is the fabulously wild shoulder spikes. I imagine you could wear the black spies with the white top and vice versa for even more flexibility.
I kind of fell in love with the ISON Razzle pants and vest for Collabor88. They come separately so they can be mixed and matched. They come in six colors, black, white, gray, camel, green and blue, making them great foundation pieces for your wardrobe. I am a bit of pixel prude, so when I went to The Velvet last night, I added this lovely wrap from One Bad Pixel for a more discreet look.
However, daring fashionistas that don’t mind risking a little slip here and there, can war just the vest. Frankly both the One Bad Pixel wrap top and the Ison Razzle vest fit so well, i didn’t bother with the alpha layers.
