I’ve Got a Backstage Pass

Okay so I had to pick up this silly pool from the Stay at Home Club even though I LIVE seaside, I have an affinity for pools. In fact – this inspires me to put a pool up for the summer possibly. This one was free and I have to admit, it does the job. It’s from Little to Large and I think for you family types it would be a great pick up.

As for me I’m enjoying adult beverages in it and finding my inner peace.

One of my favorite people in all lives, Putrid Gloom, is embarking on a new adventure in SL and she’s offering lovely summer soiree piece for you girls who enjoy both the sun AND the fun. Personally I like to go easy on both, but in this outfit it seemed appropriate to engage both.

Tresspassing

I decided to end my night by trespassing on a neighbors wee island and helping myself to a picnic basket I found out. Just call me Yogi. A girl gets hungry.

Oh well, it’s been a long time since I last posted anything here. To be fair, it’s been a while since I last stayed online long enough to 1. shop and 2. take pictures. But this morning, I had an hour on my own before the reste of the house woke up and I went to Uber. I’ll admit most of the clothes there are way too much on the sexy side for my taste, but I discovered a store new to me (that’s what happens when you go off the grid for a year and a half!), Etiquette. I’m obsessed with jumpsuits, mostly because I’ve always had a hard time finding one that fit me RL, so I fell instantly for both the short and long version.

This adorable lemonade dispenser immediately joined my home decor, it’s so cute and well made! It’s from Dahlia.

In Murder City They Have a Cat

I went out Friday in search of some dinner and to take a look-see around the world. I love stumbling in to new places, finding things and meeting folks. Murder City ended up being a perfect place for an evening like that.

While there is a bit of the odd murder here or there, it’s a great spot for taking photos and exploring, lots of little things to find and do while you are there.

I grabbed a bowl of ramen for dinner and I do confess, I was surprised that it wasn’t poisoned or the cook didn’t stab me. I guess even murder city needs a spot for dinner in between the murders

After a bite I explored for quite a while. There’s a lot to see and find here – and I got to meet the owner who says she’s still building more so I am going to have to come back some time and check out what’s new.

I seriously love this cat you guys.

When it started to rain and murder definitely seemed more likely I decided it was time to head about to Bellisseria for some quiet. Before I headed out though, I decided to avail myself of this “touchless” pizza delivery option. After all, by the time I get home I’m going to be hungry, right?

I really hope this taxi is headed to Bellisseria…what’s that down this tunnel….

Dusk till Dawn with My Alt

We didn’t have big plans for a Saturday Night, so we ventured out to a local hang out and plopped down in comfy chairs for some acoustic music and an occasional overpriced coffee. I took my alt Aliana over to The Epiphany to pick up a new wig, and it was quality time with someone I don’t find annoying. I’m DEFINITELY going to be keeping her on deck more – she’s not picky about what color hair comes out of a gacha and not fussy when I dress her out of the 10L box from Izzie’s.

Truly, a low maintenance companion.

I was grateful that we thought to grab food while we were at The Epiphany. A cup of noodles and a slice hit the spot as we wound down back at home. Belliseria at dawn is really lovely.

We are going to end up sleeping away Sunday, I’m sure of it.

I confess I also ran over and grabbed a GENUS head to give it a try. I DO like it. Some folks have some complaints about the HUDS etc – but for me, just to try out a new brand, it was pretty pleased. I am not sure if she’s gonna be PERMAGIDGE but, indeed, I do like it.

My typist has been basically besieged by the chaos of pandemic life, and hasn’t been around to take dictation – pity I know. I’ve had so many adventures she’ll never know about. That’s probably for the best though, isn’t it?

I hope the DMCA situation is settled without much drama and soon as I like this brand and would gladly explore a new head from them!

I do’t have the eyes quite right yet

I am struggling with the eyes a bit. I don’t like what came with it they are wonky and so I’ll have to keep working. Eyes can be tricky which I find annoying. I love this hair and might have to get this cut in the AFTER time. Someday – when salons are open again!

I liked the head so much that I ran out and got it on my new roommate my Alt. Is she my sister? Maybe. I need to keep working on her.

Beautiful Lingerie – now at Shop & Hop from ALASKA METRO

I was originally compelled to run over to the Shop & Hop event because of the beautiful lingerie that Alaska Metro posted on Plurk. Lingerie in SL can be so run of the mill, so boring. There are only a few brands I’ll even bother looking at. But Alaska isn’t just a really creative, quality skinner, the clothing items she makes are always top notch.

Such as, this gorgeous piece.

She’s having an INSANE sale at her main store as well – at least I think it’s still going on. I urge you to RUN don’t walk to both Shop & Hop and her main store. I think I snagged this lingerie for less than 50L.

I just stick my hand right in, yes I do.

My house is finally coming together with the requisite Gidginess that is required of any place I call home. The ocean air really makes me feel like I’m home again, and I’m finally figuring out what things are going to be part of my 2020 SLife.

Even as the evening cools off, I love these big windows letting in the fresh air. Warm soup, warm tea, perfect evening.

I Own This Dress

Ever get that feeling of Deja Vu and you’re not sure why? I picked up this dress for free at an event because hey, free dresses are good (sometimes). I was tickled that it wasn’t fug when I got dressed for SL Blogger work and decided it would be my styling inspiration for the day.

As I stood there doing my hair and deciding on jewelry I had this nagging feeling and I wondered, hadn’t I see this before.

I definitely already owned this dress.

So, there are some things I’ve decided and these are them.

  1. I definitely owned this dress or a dress that is EERILY similar.
  2. This means the person I originally bought this from, and the person who put it out as a gift purchased a template.
  3. The person I originally made this dress might have later released it as a template.

What do I think about these things?

I think I don’t fucking care.

Here’s the thing, free gifts are one of those things that are either amazing or garbage. They’re free so you can’t really complain but none of us need new “freebie” chokers if someone could please take note of that. You wanna drop some sexytimes scripts in one and make it free you might gain kudos from a certain crowd but mostly man, nobody wants that your freebie choker.

Templates don’t burn my butter like they do some people. I’m not mad. Seriously. I’m not too good to wear a template so have at it. If I like it I’m not gonna be salty with you about what you’ve released unless it’s ugly or stupid.

Yes, I’m the one who decides if it’s stupid.

With that being said, I also want to say that some templates are garbage. Please check them out a bit before you drop them out for sale or for free.

With all of THAT being said, I’m actually really delighted with this dress. It’s very cute and sassy. I liked it the first time, I like it this time. Well done both of you who picked out this one or whatever it is that happened.

I didn’t go looking t see where I got it originally. I don’t care. I’m at peace.

Now, I need to finish my house.

New Year New House

I had a great idea for my solo New Year’s Adventure. I was going to go hop on the train at Red Hook and take pics of people’s lovely Victorians and just enjoy this lovely area. I thought it was an amazing plan. Then I stood at the train station and no train came, and I couldn’t find a button to push to request the train. I was probably doing something wrong but I could NOT figure out WHAT.

I ended up giving up and getting in my car and going for a drive.

It was a great time for an early morning drive, but eventually I wound up at the end of Bellisseria and found the beach. Of course some how these lucky sods had these AMAZING beach views – just stunning. I parked and walked along the beach while the sun continued it’s dance upward. There is definitely something to be said for these Victorians on the beach.

I decided to drown my sorrows in some treats and just spend the rest of the day languishing in my own beautiful Victorian. Such sorrow, truly.

No such thing as too many macarons

I found a pretty cute grocery to stop in at. It actually had some sort of role play farmers market and vegetables with expiration dates. This is too much of a time commitment for moi. I am intrigued but no, just no.

Maybe? No, no no. No actual food that expires I cannot.

I ordered in Sushi, put on a movie and decided I was in for the night. The cats didn’t mind and truly, I crashed on the couch and didn’t have a care in the world. 2019 was good, and I’m not worked up about 2020. It will be fine. Every single year doesn’t have to be some groundbreaking event. Sometimes just making it happen is enough.

I did, however, wake up and move house.
