Well I couldn’t resist taking some snaps as I wandered around SUMMERFEST this year. The layout is just adorable, with sweet vignettes set up and so while I wandered, shopped and ate my cotton candy I just couldn’t not contain my enthusiasm.

Is there ever an event that you always truly enjoy, yet struggle to remember? That’s me with Summerfest. It’s a nice layout, always lovely items and just a fantastic shopping experience but for some reason despite the fact that I’m thrilled when it arrives – more often than not it closes and there I sit, forlorn at having forgotten to go. Adam & Eve have released some lovely new pretties for VINTAGE FAIR and I had to hit the town in this beautiful dress made JUST for dancing. The swirl of the skirt and lovely fabrics have my swooshing around the grid in glee.

So hey! Vintage Fair is still going for another week, but I’m leaving today for a 2 week vacation, and won’t have access to a decent computer where I go. Oh hi!! The weather in SL was beautiful this morning and I decided to go to the beach. I rummaged through the gorgeous designs from Vintage Fair and found the perfect outfit. I absolutely love the 50’s vibe of this swimsuit from LX, it’s completely what I would wear RL. It comes in 8 adorable patterns, I had a hard time deciding on a favourite! My hairdo from Iconic is just short enough to not be a hassle at the beach, and the stunning art nouveau jewelry set from Bliensen + MaiTai just makes it all perfect! Now, where’s my sunscreen?

Today’s the day! Vintage Fair opens at noon SLT, and will stay open until the 24th. Please keep in mind your avatar complexity must remain under 50K, otherwise you’ll automatically get booted. My advice? Detach all, wear a full alpha layer and only that, complexity : 0. Makes the event easier to experience, not only for you, but for everyone else too. You can also derender other people : world -> show friends only.

I’m wearing a skin from ND/MD, that wasn’t originally designed for LeLutka heads, but for Catwa, but I liked the look on the picture, and it includes Omega appliers so I tried it on. It looks amazing, except for the mouth that doesn’t look good at all. But I was able to fix that easily with one of Izzie’s nude lipsticks. I highly recommend trying a demo, but this skin is really worth it.
