The clothes are a gift from the Stay at Home Club. Totally cute, comes with a nice HUD for color selection. Slight quibble int hat the shoulders clip wrong if you stand certain ways and are wonky – but free isn’t a price I complain about and as you can see, if you don’t stand that way it’s just fine.
I’m not sure what brand it’s from, as in the folder it just had some symbol. Folks, put your name on your products. Don’t expect your bloggers to do work to find who you were in a sea of 1000 other things they have lined up to blog. That’s a tip for everyone not just this brand.

I went outside to get set up for my cookout/pool party today and discovered this off the coast. The Jolie Rouge is up, so that’s a bit concerning to me. They continued sailing onward around the tip of the coast and heading toward Bloodroot. I feel like it’s very likely that is where they were headed with a name like that. Don’t you?
Just a simple affair today with lots of sun and food. I’m going to have to get Aliana to change her hair when Cajsa finally gets back on the grid regularly. Two redheads would be too confusing. But she’s my Alt Bestie that’s for sure. I keep thinking I will make her a proper bedroom – it can almost be like she really lives here! Poor girl. I never let her go many places.
It’s hot and sweaty today. A true traditional summer kick off kind of day. I should have invited over more people but then I’m never good at being around when other people are having things. I should work on that.
I picked up a new pool from the Stay at Home Club – that is a great free pick up run don’t walk. I also got us both a new swimsuit for the day. Free is my favorite price.
I hope that your Memorial Day weekend was reverent to those lost but that your time spent with family and friends was fully of love and sunshine.

I am super intrigued by the Linden Trailers ever since I discovered they have a faux Air Stream model. I need one for a vacation home. I don’t want to live in one, I just want to visit. My friend Putrid was good enough to let me visit hers and now I’m verklempt because I want one.
They only offer them on a 514 and that’s crap for prims but still – it would be a PERFECT vacation house. Do you have a Linden house? Which one and do you like it?

On Friday night I had the distinct pleasure of taking my old friend Dancien around the grid on a tour of “the NEW SL”. Except, it’s not really NEW it’s just – “CHANGED AND UPGRADED FROM WHEN YOU LEFT SL”. I started him off with a quick run to Kittycats because even if he didn’t want their free kittycat – well I did. (He did).
If you haven’t heard, they have these kitties out, you get either a boy or a girl and they are free – one per resident. AND you don’t have to feed them. If you covet a sweet little friend for your Linden home or personal parcel, I recommend these lovelies.
Next we popped over to Dutchie so I could show him the awesome furniture including a dining set I covet that has really cool meal sequencing available. He covets the bar – so i’m going to look forward to popping over to his place and having drinks.
After that we went to 7 Emporium and picked up yard signs to offend our neighbors. HOA BE DAMNED!!
I’ve also been working on more house decorating and finally got progress on my office.
In her previous post Rose mentioned her new love of grabbing old and new things and putting them together. Honestly that’s become my jam. I love shopping and am not stopping, but there’s no reason why GREAT things from my inventory can’t come out for a spin now and then. I mean, Blueberry makes AMAZING jeans. Why wouldn’t I wear them just because they aren’t new?
i still like my Catwa head that was free. I have one quibble and that is that my ears go green on the regular. What is that about? It’s disconcerting but you still see me wearing it don’t you?

The gifts at Fameshed this round are ridiculous and I’m clad in them today. This little lingerie-esque dress plus my hair were both pickups from the multitude of gifts available. Truly- I admire the generosity of their creators. More than once I grab something and then go back to buy more because I’m impressed with the style or quality. Giving good freebies says a LOT about you as a creator.
To those of you giving out chokers. Get your shit together. Especially those of you who make home furnishings and give out a choker. They’re always crap. Just stop it.
Now that I’m ranty I’d also like to say that if you give a free gift, it should be OF the sort of thing you make. If you make hair, don’t give me earrings. If you make shoes – for the love of god don’t give me a flower. You see, if you give me shoes and I’m impressed, I’m going to come back and buy shoes from you. If you give me some random ass flower -I’m not going to remember you as a shoe maker.

I have a couple of quibbles with my house and they’re small but mainly it’s because the windows don’t look out at the sea. That in itself isn’t much of an issue, as I have a huge backyard and access to a boat dock rezz zone if I trespass on the lighthouse island nearby. All of that being said, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for being seaside regardless of the weather. Stormy Friday nights suit me fine. After all, I’ve got 165k items in my inventory, surely I couldn’t truly be said to WANT for anything now could I?
This chair about gave me a heart attack trying to acquire it. Locations that are full because people are shopping frequently cause me to not bother with them at all. I’ve lost the patience for it. But in this instance I have to admit I simply HAD to have it. I was creating a little cozy-casual nook for drinks, TV and relaxing and it just fit the part so perfectly. So I reloaded the TP to the spot over and over and over like a peasant until I got in.
Seriously, I felt like an SL pioneer.
Regardless – amazing chair ACQUIRED.
It’s a discounted item (not a gift, gifts are FREE) at ANTHEM event from Bazar. I think it was 60L or 50L or I don’t know what but WORTH every penny. It is awesome.
Eventually I got hungry and wanted to have some kung pao beef, but I got bored waiting on it to cook and cut ups some veggies. Midnight snacks have no rules.
I finally got my food wrapped up and headed back to my comfy chair only to find that I’d been usurped.

Puzzles, Games and Bunnies with some Chinese takeout
I decided this past weekend to jump headfirst back in to my SLife, whereas prior I’ve been just dallying here and there. I’ve blasted my way through new brands, gotten out of my comfort zone, tried things I would NEVER have bothered with in the past.
In short – I finally feel at home again in this pixel world. I’m extremely excited about it.
One thing I decided to do while I am playing with new things is start dragging out OLD skins. One of those great features of BOM is the ability to make everything old new again. I have HUGE regrets that I trashed my old LEAGUE skins when applier HUDS became the rage. Why did I trash LEAGUE? I don’t know. I trashed a few brands, Curio, and some others, and my sadness that they are lost to me forever is huge.
One thing I learned, by dragging these skins out and slapping them on a mesh head via BOM is this. They did not age well. I would say 75% of my old skins are very OMG WTF WTF NO NO NO. It’s sort of like that. The colors are just off, or not current. The look is too harsh. Sometimes they don’t stretch across mesh properly and it’s all just wrong.
But every once in a while an old brand reminds me how I loved them, once upon a time. Long since gone is Tuli – that maker of delicate, lovely skin. An old friend once described Tuli as making the “most kissable lips”. I was a such a fan girl, once upon a time.
I will confess that this skin still has a lovely face, but it doesn’t “quite” work with mesh. The line between head and body I can’t seem to overcome it’s always JUST a bit wonky. The thing is though, this skin was never meant for mesh. Mesh wasn’t an itch in it’s daddy’s pants back when I got this skin. So I’ve pulled the old blogger cheat and slapped on a choker necklace and somewhat obscured this.
I promise you, I’ll do the same any time I wear it in the future. Don’t judge me. Wearing Tuli is like running in to an old friend you thought was gone forever.
Another aside, as I ramble a LOT on this Sunday morning, is that I discovered a pose store I really love. As a pose maker, I was always completely reticent to enter any pose shops or use ANYONE’S poses because I didn’t want to be accused of ripping off anyone’s work. Even long after I closed up shop, I still continued this habit and I feel like it’s been pretty limiting. I can’t even remember why I stumbled in to Secret Poses but their Chinese Take Out pose set completed my desire to be eating constantly in SL.
I am a huge fan, and am going to be shopping there more.
And now, it’s Sunday. Whatever should I do on a Sunday? Probably eat….

I picked up this adorable bunny for snuggling at the Gachaland from Hopscotch as a free gift yesterday. It’s just the perfect size for bed time snuggles and coziness. Bellisseria is having a rainy day. It makes me wish I could turn my house around and let the big windows face the ocean.
It’s a perfect night to hit the sack early and just listen to the rain and the surf. Pretty good life, if you ask me.
I picked up this very cute nightgown from Seniha from the STAY AT HOME CLUB. It’s labeled as a dress but that’s a snuggle up, bed-time print to me so I’m calling it a nightgown. I don’t even care.
The rabbit and I will be in bed if you’re looking for us. I hope your Thursday was good to you. You deserve it.
