Hello and happy Monday! I’ve done some shopping today and I figured I might as well show you! As a blogger, I am lucky to have early access to Shoetopia, and I found some gorgeous things, starting with those flats from Ingenue. They are perfection. I had to fatpack them as I couldn’t decide on a colour… They are so good everyone is getting them, it seems Gidge just posted about them too! Honestly, 12 colours for 1100l$, that’s not even 100l$ a pair, it’s a steal! Shoetopia opens today at noon SLT.

FaMESHed just opened and is, as usual, completely full, but if you manage to pop there, be sure to try the lovely hair Lamb just released there. It’s so cute, and comes with a styling HUD that allows you to hide or show the built-in hairbase and fiddle with the bangs. It’s also unrigged so if your head is weirdly shaped like mine, you can move it around and make it work!

Every week-end, Maxi Gossamer has some styles out for a discounted price, and this week she has, among other things, that very cool sun necklace. It comes in both long and short size, and you can change it from silver to gold.

I don’t know how I got there, but I awoke in a magical land filled with beautiful shoes. Whether it was sneakers or the most painful heels – I found something for every style and taste. Waking up in such a wonderland was the perfect way to start my week.
I traveled down it’s hallways to discover that everything was huge or perhaps I was terribly small. Was I in some giant’s lair? Or perhaps just in the grips of an event builder who knew how to make things big enough for people to see even with lag? Amazing how that works… Continue reading
Oh hello everyone. No April’s Fool joke from me today. Just some cute things and pictures. I hope you’re having a happy Easter day.

In the world of Second Life, people tend to buy clothes at events, wear them once, then change into their next purchase and never look at that first outfit again, even though they were drooling over it when it first came out. For some reason I don’t really like to do that. Of course, I do buy things at events, when they’re brand new and everyone is raving over them too. But I like to shop in stores, and dig out old things in my inventory. When they are good, they don’t get out of style, and it’s the case with that top from Cold Logic. It predates mesh bodies and I’m wearing a size S on my Maitreya Lara. I had to alpha my elbows and part of my back, but honestly, autohide today would do the same.

“This was when the aging smokestacks atop the monumental factories began to shut off one by one. There were still plenty left running to keep the air over Detroit filled with that choking industrial aptitude, but you were never far from a hollowed-out factory, massive steel tubes on the roofs pointing up toward the sky with nothing left inside but dust and cobwebs. These giant pillars of concrete and metal now jutted high like extended index fingers from broken and casted hands, pointing toward something they would never touch.”
― Michael A. Ferro, TITLE 13: A Novel

The Arcade closes at midnight Saturday and if you let that happen without picking up the fabulous industrial pieces from NOMAD, you will miss out. The gacha has the delicious name of My Cozy Little Industrial Facility that cracks me up in the best possible way.

I wear glasses IRL. I don’t mind them, but I wish I could change their colour like I can do in SL, to match my clothes, or my shoes. Cae has a bunch of very pretty pairs out at this month’s round of Uber, it’s just too bad she doesn’t offer a fatpack option, but I did buy 3 out of the 5 or 6 pairs available, I may go back later for the rest…

My friend Isla who owns Cheeky Pea is putting together a small fundraising event to help her sister Stephanie pay for some medical bills her husband left when he passed away unexpectedly, at only 37, a few weeks ago. I made a special recolour, the Stephanie eyes, available in the Cheeky Pea mainstore for only 100l$ for 6 colours, proceeds go to Isla. Other designers will have some lovely things out in a few, I’ll try and show you.

When I saw the Tentacio kimono outfit for The Arcade was named Midory, I had to try it. When I was in college, one of my friends was a student from Japan named Midori. Midori and Midory are the same, when languages written in other alphabets are written in our alphabet, the transliteration may vary. She came home with me for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I remember we put on quite the feast with steamed cucumbers stuffed with pork, gyoza, tempura, and other tasty foods. She had a few kimonos and insisted on dressing me up in one of hers. It was very fancy and after she wrapped that obi around my waist again and again and again, I thought I would never need a jacket. So here’s to Midori, who, to be honest, I cannot imagine ever wearing anything so short as this dress that bears her name.

One of the things I love about The Arcade is it’s ever continuing magic when it comes to providing us with more things for the narrative of our individual SLs.
For me, that narrative is chocked full of…..pets.
My friend and fellow blogger visited the other day and said if it was a RL house it would smell, it was so full of pets. Alas it’s true. I’ve got this dog and that cat and the other thing, not to mention my Kittycats themselves. Give me your pets, your fishtanks, your sweet little loves to run around my house and make it less empty.
I’m not alone when they are here. I love them all. Continue reading
