Chalet Preview – Likes and Dislikes

People seem to be VERY torn about the new Linden home theme CHALETS so I decided to go give them a look-see after Gogo posted the demo area SLURL on Plurk.

I admit I’m a dedicated Bellisserite. Bellissarian ? Regardless, I love my Linden home. I love the gorgeously landscaped neighborhoods and the beautiful homes. I’m still in a Victorian, loathe to give up my amazing beach spot. Might not give it up – we’ll just see won’t we.

So the theme seems to be a sort of a Dutch happening, with windmills and tulips. This demo area is a little sparse – maybe I’m spoiled with the AMAZING lush areas they built for Victorians and Traditional? Or perhaps I’m being picky as this is just a demo. I’ll assume that’s the case.

They had a bit of a brewfest park set up. I’m not sure if this would be part of the outdoor design. I would say that if it is – the beers should give me a beer. Don’t tease me with beer. That’s just unkind. Also these beers are nuts – way more than this pixel girl can drink.

My quibbles with this style are small. I’m unsure of the color schemes. They just don’t do it for me. Maybe they do it for you? That’s cool if so. One thing I do like in the various models I walked are the big open rooms with nice space for camming around. I HATE SMALL ROOMS where I am always struggling to see. Nice job moles.

This is my favorite model. Windows, windows, windows. The one quibble I’ve had with all my Linden homes is either that the windows suck OR they aren’t facing what is beautiful where I live. Such as I live on the beach, the ocean is behind me. I want to see the beach, but the windows at the back of my house SUCK.

This one meets my needs of great open rooms and wonderful windows. Very cute. The color is eh, but maybe the choices would spruce it up?

It was an interesting jaunt around the chalets. They aren’t for me, but I think it’s cool that they are really creating lots of different styles to appeal to everyone. But now that I’m back on Bellisseria I’ve decided to tool around and decide if I want to pull out a different house model for a while. I’ve been in this 1 story for a while. Who knows?

Feels Like Monday

I’ve done a bit of wandering today. I couldn’t figure out why I was only bringing up some really lame locations from search. I love to just search random terms and see where I end up. It turns out my search wasn’t logged in properly and I was only bringing up G rated locations. There are so many amazing builds across the grid, I never know where I’m going to end up. This little shanty town offered a lovely waterfront view as well as some snacks and games.

It looks like amphibious plane is the best way to get here if you can’t teleport in. Adventure abounds in this spot.

I’ve had such a good time exploring this location. I love this bird. I kinda want it.

I Found Ice Cream

Over at Rainbow Reef – the best beach in SL – I discovered an Ice Cream truck today and quite frankly I couldn’t be ANY happier. I’m a glutton, I’m not even sorry. I’ll traverse the scariest of builds to eat new or pretty foods and frankly – this one is a pretty treat in a beautiful place. Double win.

I picked up a cute new bikini at the Saturday Sale this morning so I’m feeling pretty set for my Saturday. Grabbed this hair from MINA too.

I’ve got some gorgeous new makeup from RazzaNova from her Party Style Collection. Really gorgeous, rich colors for a night out or – a day at the beach. Whatever your pleasure.

The Real Valentine’s Day – the Galentines

We ran the gauntlet at Shop and Hop for Valentine’s and it was a smashing success. In fact, most of what we’re wearing is from there, plus our treats. We even snagged a boat and I have to admit, we had more than a bit of fun cruising today.

Sorry if you’re one of the beachside houses we crashed into. We had a bit of a learning curve on our driving.

Seriously though, a fully functional houseboat was a super fun thing to give away. We ate lunch out on the water and just generally relaxed the day away. It comes fully set up with a bedroom and kitchen. It does live up to it’s name of LOVE BOAT though so bring your own poses if you’re chilling with a pal like we are.

What Next had pizza as their free gift at Shop n Hop and I couldn’t resist this latte set which was also on sale. Truthfully it was a perfect dinner combo for us – who could ask for anything more?

The Secret Life of Females

As you may have guessed, all women secretly lay about in lingerie nonstop when men aren’t around. We can’t help it, this is our preferred state. The more lacy and see through the better we like it.

We discuss the meaning of life, whether or not we need to fart and what sort of thing we might want for dinner – all while clad in slinky sweet nothings.

Aliana and I are both reclining in lovely pieces from the Alaska Metro/Free Dove Hunt. 10 items are available, five at Free Dove and five at her mainstore. All five are awesome and you need them. Trust us.

The Alaska Metro Free Dove Hunt

Time For The Superb Owl

We’re ready for football kick off today. After all it’s time for the Superbowl this evening and that calls for food and booze in excess. It’s always this time of year that you get the people who like to tell you about how they’re above watching the Superbowl and like to put it down with little snarks about “the sports ball game” or whatever.

We get it. You don’t like football.

The thing is, shitting on things people enjoy doesn’t make you cool. You aren’t edgy or interesting because you don’t like a thing that a lot of other people like. I don’t like a lot of things that other people think are great. You know what – great for them! Glad they enjoy it. I don’t go online to make a point about how I don’t like the thing.

It’s tiresome. We get it. You’re so above it all.

I do think the Superb Owl is a bit funny though. So this isn’t a total rant.

I’m sure whomever is selling these tees on marketplace paid the NFL right? I mean, logo infringement and all.

If you’re buying these – get the black one. The white one is made like crap. They’re the same price.

I was asleep. I know it’s early for a Friday but it was a bitch of a Friday, I was done. I just wanted to sleep and kick off the weekend tomorrow. I just needed a break. I wanted sleep and oblivion.

It was then I heard it. I heard that bleet, this sound – I could not figure it out. I laid there and tried to ignore it. But eventually I couldn’t and had to get up to figure out what was happening.

SHE BROUGHT HOME A GOAT.

I don’t even know what to say.

Living with Alts is rough ya’ll.

Well, it’s finally happened. I decided to get my ALT a body and well now she’s got a decent head and a decent body, I should probably let her move in. I mean, I’m accustomed to my solitary space anymore, but there is something nice about having someone who appreciates my new wine fridge.

Excuse me, OUR new wine fridge.

We decided to cook out. I picked up this ridiculously cute new table at SOY. But the toll of the week being so busy already has the both of us worn out.

After all, she’s had to go shopping to get some less ridiculous clothes. That’s a lot of work. God bless her, I never buy her anything. But now at least she looks “less” nuts. So I’m not completely ashamed to be seen with her.

I picked up a new lounger at Chez Moi (thank you for the suggestion Sparklies!) and they are perfect for a Victorian themed house. They were a perfect spot to listen to the waves and just relax this evening.

I always remember what I learned from Auntie Mame – enough is as good as a feast.

This lovely little spot in the world is enough. I am so happy to be here.

Mondays on Bellisseria

I love foggy seaside days on Bellisseria. There’s a lovely peace over here, and whether I’m reading, writing or playing a game I have to admit that this is my favorite place to unwind. There is something so relaxing here, and if I need something different, the entire grid is just a TP away.

Now as a blogger, some people might say that I shouldn’t post this pic. There are intersections where the shirt and the pants clip one another. Well guess what folks, when you wear stuff – sometimes this happens. That’s part of wearing CLOTHES in pixel land. My pants are still cute, my shirt is still cute.

I’d rather show you what it looks like in life – I’m so much more invested in my happy little Gidge life lately, rather than worry about perfection.
