The Patchwork Lodge from PLAAKA at this round of Arcade is definitely one of the MUST HAVEs from this round. It’s a gorgeous light filled wonder and I only wish it was bigger. It’s truly lovely.

I’ve surrendered my lindens to the Gods of the Arcade and I have NO regrets. My cup runneth over with joy and happy. The things I deleted have been replaced with new, wonderful things and I’m ready for the season of happy!

Events With Weird Names – Like Twe12ve

If you haven’t been Twe12ve event is back and open until the 30th and it’s the perfect time to pick up some new eyes to freshen up your look.

Banana Banshee has two sets of eyes available at this event for a really reasonable price individually and for the fatpack. 59L for singles or 159L for the fatpack (pretty ridiculous right?). I’m wearing the Elements pack which come with a white sclera or a dark one if you’re into a roleplay thing or just like the look.

To fly we have to have resistance

Resistance is not futile. Resistance gives flight to hope and defies despair. Resistance reminds us that we are a better nation when we embrace social and racial justice. While the arc of history just got a big kink in its bend toward justice, it still bends. We have lived experience that gay rights, women’s rights, civil rights and human rights are empowering, not weakening our country. They cannot erase that knowledge, the lived experience of Americans who saw that gay rights bring joy, that trans liberation brings freedom, that women’s rights brings advancement, that immigrant rights bring progress, and that human rights bring progress. They can try to take away those rights, but the living experience of our people prove their crabbed and cruel vision of the future is a lie. We will prevail in the long run. They are on the wrong side of history which is why even their temporary victory fills them with rage instead of celebration.

Meanwhile, we can still enjoy life…and fashion.

It’s The Little Things Which Irritate

I have no reason for complaint today. I’ve got a beautiful new vanity set from SOY at Collabor88, amazing new jewelry, hair and dress from Collabor88 and really this pixel girl has no reason for for annoyance.

The world is my oyster, the world is my delicious sandwich made to order.

Yet, my annoyance today slithers into my sights from a flickr group from which I got a flickr mail a long time ago. I should, in fact, leave this group. I can never remember to. I’m a busy pixel girl, these toes aren’t going to paint themselves you know, and so I get busy and forget.

I also don’t generally READ flickr mail so if you send me one, be prepared for it to be six months before I see it.  Continue reading →
