Hi there!  It’s Acha, here with a brand-new outfit from Ezura that will tickle your Steampunk fancy.  The suit’s construction and skinny tie reminds me most of that old west movie with Will Smith.  Sadly the movie sucked, but the premise was so awesome — Steampunk old west!  Does anyone else love the RPG Deadlands?  *cough* Sorry, my tabletop gaming geek is showing. Anyway, I could see my avatar hopping astride a mechanical horse with his springloaded crossbow, off to hunt some zombies… Go find the goodness at Ezura.

Happy Monday!  Yep, it’s Acha again, for another installation of Manly slightly-more-male-than-usual Monday.  I generally like to accessorize my boy avatar with pretty women for this post, and today’s is no exception.  He’s in the 52 weeks of color challenge tint, Indigo, adorned with an awesome SL friend.  Creamy and I have been posting together since I was a callow noob, and somehow she still seems to enjoy it!  She always shows off some lovely free stuff too, so poke through her credits and pick up the goodness.  Have a great day, everyone, and I’m going to enjoy my holiday by holing up with a book and staring at the rain…

It is early Monday morning, but I have coffee.  Everything is okay now!  Acha-the-boy-avvie is back in sepia, prowling the streets of Babbage.  His eye got caught by a certain lady — but is it the same one he ravished mere days ago?  No, this one is the lovely Elusyve Jewell, mysterious yet tempting as she walks the cold streets without a coat.  Does the lady need his scarf?  Perhaps he will go ask… All to make his previous conquest jealous, of course.  😀  Tune in for more adventures of this sepia-toned seducer next week Monday!  Credits and another photo below the cut.

Rogan Diesel handed me a set of couple poses and said very gleefully, “I expect some porn, Acha!”  I pondered this, and of course I had to do the exact opposite.  What is porn without the romance?!  In this little morality tale, a rogue meets a lady and convinces her that he’s worth unlacing her corset for…  Gidge and I giggled our way through this shoot, I admit.  She told me to unhand her, and her bosoms heaved with temper until I broke her like a high-strung filly.  Or something.  At any rate, go see what you can make of these poses at Diesel Works.

Today I was joined by a man’s best accessory — a lovely woman.  Aikea Reiko of The Beautiful Plastik Machine photographed with me for a small photo essay about Silver (52 weeks of color).  Perhaps a djinn fell for a human woman and swept her up into the clouds one day.  But how will they live together if his feet can never touch the earth?

Welcome to Manly Monday here at It’s Only Fashion.  I’m also doing 52 weeks of color: Green.  Last week I had to give Cerise a miss — I had nothing remotely like deep purply pink in my wardrobe.  Green, however, I have in spades.  I dressed Acha from head to toe in green right at first and realized that he looked like an unfortunate leprechaun.  I decided not to photo that outfit… Instead he’s such a pretty princess today that he invited Vo (of the blog Heroin Ghic) over to photo with him.  I think it’s the hair from Fri.day that does it, and the new pants and turtleneck from Arai.  Thanks for joining me, Vo!  (BTW, Vo said that his pants were only 2L from Jetcity.)

So I finally caught on to this 52 weeks of color thing. I love playing with color! What fun! This week’s theme is yellow, and I owned far more than I thought I did. I enjoy the process of plugging a color into my wardrobe and seeing what it reveals… “Yellow” also came up with a lot of cute /artilleri/ furniture, including a cushioned vinyl chair and a television set. I hadn’t used a lot of these items in my wardrobe in a while, and it was fun to recombined them into something new.

Earlier today, Miss Gidge made me cry by posting an eloquent and heart-felt testimony to her friendship with Cajsa. It made me stop and think about my own connections in Second Life, and what makes the game worth playing for me. I agree — it’s also the people. Second Life can be a quiet world sometimes when nobody’s awake or everybody’s busy, but the moments of interaction with good friends make all that quiet blogging time worthwhile. I love my friends too, and that feeling is as real life as it gets. It was also beautiful to read about Cajsa and Gidge’s friendship and how it grew, and painful to see Gidge’s state of mind while she waited for her BFF to emerge from the operating room.

This post is for Gidge and Cajsa. The styling is far from my usual, because I’m trying my best to take on Cajsa’s style aesthetic. I’m in gray with red hair, and I donned the most ruffled item that I own in my wardrobe. Cajsa exudes femininity to me, and I tried my best to embody this. It’s harder than it looks — I had to firmly remind myself to leave off the finger tape and facial piercings. Heck, I even put on earrings! (The problem is, I think I failed — I look like I’m in vintage, waiting for something creepy to happen, like Tippi in The Birds. But hey, I tried.)

Even though Gidge and Cajsa and I have extremely different styles, their blogging has always had a place in my heart. I love the location shots, and I’ve always been a sucker for Cajsa’s lighting effects, and whenever I feel like looking for a perfect frock I head on over to It’s Only Fashion. Keep on keeping on, you two, and thank you for inspiring me today.

Acha took a wander through Ninikoboy the other day and spotted this comfy-looking one-button jacket.  It looks just about right for the slightly chilly, slightly warm weather right now, so he wore it with a bunch of warm stuff from his wardrobe.  I haven’t invested in a lot of new boy stuff for him yet this season, but this jacket is a start!
