When I unpacked the gorgeous vintage-styled Vale dress from Donna Flora, I knew I wanted to style myself completely in black and white. A noir avatar in a pixel world. The effect was a fun combination of chic and shriek that had me heading to Silent’s haunted house for some pictures. The dress is a classic fitted bodice with a tulip skirt. Its most vintage elements come from the bolero jacket with the wide rounded lapels and the puffed shoulders. The floral corsage pin adds a bit more retro styling.
The triple-bowed Lily court shoes from Miamai areGorgeous and so striking with the huge bows on the heel counter, their exaggerated shape drawing your eyes.
Mesh hands from SLink make wearing rings and bracelets a delight. There are fairly easy to tint, though if you bring your graphics down while you move around and decide where to post and so on, they can be disconcerting. I was trying to figure out why I had this flicker on my screen before I remembered that I had to turn my graphics back up.
Jewelry from Donna Flora in black and white maintain the monotone styling.
And yes, this redhead put on black hair to keep to my goal of styling completely in black and white. The hair is a fun and cheeky retro riff called Ronette – a nod to the big heair styles of the Motown era. The skin is from PXL Creations Halloween Gacha – a perfect Noir.
