When I put on the Star dress from Alafolie I was so distracted by the glitter of the paillettes that I didn’t even notice on of the best features of the dress until I hopped over to The Velvet to listen in on a friend’s set and spend the evening dancing. That was when I noticed how beautifully the dress moved. But you don’t have to take my word for it, I shot a very short little movie that I will post after the cut so you can see for yourself. As to the dress, I love this simplicity of the idea of the intense coverage of paillettes that decreases as they go away from the bodice.

With the glitter and glam of the dress, I wanted something equally fabulous for my feet so I headed over to SLink for their new mesh peeptoes. Now I will confess it took a bit of time to fit them perfectly, but Siddean Munro included a precision fitting hud for the fine-tuning I wanted. I used the main hud to get close and then narrowed in with the precision resizing hud. Her approach to the adjustment hud was interesting – including one multi-hud to adjust skin tone, toe nail polish and size, a second color-change hud to make color transitions and then fine-tuning huds for size and nail polish. It seems an approach to meet the needs of the quick-is-good-enough crowd and the perfectionists. I was going to wear the shoes dancing, so I went down the perfectionist road. My jewelry came from Dark Mouse. I chose the Drop Dead Diamonds for my necklace and earrings and added some pearl bracelets from her Soiree set.

The wonderful skin is from Baiastice, her recent Nico release that I am loving. The hair is from Truth, an elegant updo called Isla that is worn with a hairbase.

The song is Barra Barra by Rachid Taha – though this is less than a third of the song. It’s a fabulous song that you can easily find on Itunes or other online music store. The dances are from Animazoo.
