I made a trip to WideWorld Paradise – an sim exploring surrealist art – and think I could spend hours exploring its features. When I saw this gorgeous blue tunnel with orange peacock trees, I decided to wear the blue version of the Samuela dress from LaLei. The cross-banded sequins give it a nice modern look, especially with the bit of exposed midriff. It comes in six colors, pastel pink, blue and green and cream, gold and silver.
Isn’t the setting gorgeous? When you teleport into WideWorld Paradise, you are offered several places to teleport to, but don’t rely on just that. There are surprises for the intrepid explorer.
I love the knife pleated skirt. I have always love knife pleated skirts. When I was a senior in high school, I went to Spain and lived with a family in Algeciras. The daughter who was my age was so stylish – a revelation for a small town country girl. I will never forget trailing behind her at this amazing fabric shop with bolts of fabric up to the ceiling and climbing up those library ladders on a rail and hauling down white knife-pleated fabric that she whipped up into a stylish skirt with a few nights of hand-sewing. That fabric store was like an old-fashioned library of fabric. it was breathtaking.
With the modern style of the dress, I wanted bold and contemporary jewelry. I chose Xenobia from FineSmith. The hair is from Cake which excels at curly, romantic styles.
The makeup is from Chaisuki – from Chai Kazan who excels at exciting and unique makeups. For another take on the dress, Tania Tebaldi, a Spanish fashion blogger, also noted the modern look of the dress and played it up with very avant garde hair for a very up to the minute look.
