O Chapeau shape! Chic attitude! with strings
Of dogwood and black threads like iron wrought,
With forest branches and metaphoric wings
Thou, hatly form, dost tease us out of thought
As doth eternity: thou filigree hat!
When pixel dust shall this fashion waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other blogs
Than ours, a friend to fashion, to whom thou say’st,
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty,” – that is that
and all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.
with profuse apologies to John Keats
I landed at a shopping sim the other day following a store landmark in an designer’s profile that lead to a closed and empty store. Rather than get all grumpy, I decided to look around at the rest of the stores and see if there were any that were new to me. I came across a couple, including Garcons Tokyo where I found this twinkly confection of pink, pink and more pink. The folder comes with two skirt options – a short cocktail skirt or the full gown lenght which is what I chose. It sparkles of sweetness and light and is so adorable I had to shoot it in the clouds – but I think I do bring it back from the brink of Barbie with the chic and glorious Sakura hat from Boudoir. Gidge is the expert on Barbitude and will have to let me know.
The jewelry I wore is from Donna Flora and is a perfect mesh of old-fashioned romanticism modern abstraction. At first glance, it does look so very romantic and rococo and then you look closer and the shapes and setting are completely modern. The hair is from Mirone – a new updo that is going to be a go-to style, I can tell. She makes her hair a bit small for my head, but a tiny bit of stretch and it was a perfect fit. The makeup is from Chaisuki – and in choosing it, I went for pure pinkitudinosity.

Ah! This explains the rumbling in the ground I’ve been feeling from the direction of the cemetery in Rome…. 😉
