There’s an old place where people go
To dance the night away
They all drive or walk for miles
To get jive that southern style
It’s an old jive that makes you want
To dance till break of day
It’s a junction where the town folks meet
At each function in a tux they greet you
Come on down, forget your care
Come on down, you’ll find me there
Well, I am ready to go to Tuxedo Junction now that I have this lavishly styled new tuxedo jacket from Baiastice. Made in a wide range of luscious colors, with exuberant ruched ruffling on the sleeves and collar, this jacket is like a B12 shot for your wardrobe – giving it vigor and energy. When you combine the extravagant embellisments with the narrow contoured waist, you have a very feminine flattering jacket to dress up anything.
I chose to wear it with some lovely gold leather pants from Mimikri and some simple, but elegant Baiastice shoes. The two bands across the vamp are reminiscent of a tuxedo’s bow and seemed a fun addition.
It’s certainly very fashionable to wear a jacket with nothing under it and I could have done that. However, more my style is finding a lovely top that would work. I used the shirt piece of the Ratri dress from Zaara – a group gift from last year. The earrings are also from Zaara. It was not quite long enough so I added the bottom half of a cami to tuck the bodice into the pants. The hair is from Tukinowaguma – and adds the perfect touch of glam, I think.
Here’s a closer look at those luscious earrings and the lovely Baiastice Donnarama Casting skin. I love the eye shadows on these skins – very rich and varied. And here’s Tuxedo Junction:

Not only do I love that jacket, but this brings back memories of my parents, who grew up in the era of the Big Bands. Dad went off to war and came home with the sounds of Glenn Miller in his ears, and Mom’s occasional playing of the old 78s taught me (kicking and screaming at first) to appreciate swing.
