Tain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it.

That’s what gets results!
We would all benefit if we took this song to heart, wouldn’t we? I think when you look at Sissy Pessoa, you can see she has. I have been enjoying her designs since 2007 and have loved watching her learn new skills and expand her line. When I first started shopping at Baiastice, she made beautiful clothing. Then she made some purses and sunglasses. She was prolific and you had to hop all over the grid to her different stores to see her entire output. Then she finally got a sim and you could see everything in one place – and she started making shoes. Amazing shoes! And then she started to make skins – and always, getting better. Her clothing also got stronger and better as she began to experiment with sculpts and new shapes. She has never rested on her laurels and has yet to plateau. You can see that constant striving in this gorgeous gown and her lovely new skin line – Casting.
I love this dress! I swear it would be equally at home on the red carpet in Hollywood or at a gala on Alpha Centauri dancing with Jean Luc Picard. The shape of it is a very traditional shape for a ball gown, the sleeveless bodice, the narrow waist and the full skirt are as traditional as can be, but the fabric – it’s not at all traditional. The bustier with the overlay of dots and the cinched up the back corset are made of far from traditional latex and look more to the future than the past.
The overskirt of dots hanging in what seems to be free suspension is a galaxy of win! It moves gracefully and makes this a very sexy dress to wear – walking or dancing, the skirt accentuates your movement with languorous grace. The thoroughly modern Callas jewelry from DeLa and the hair from BOON emphasize the modernity of the design.
I love the bold makeups in the new skin line from Baiastice. It comes in a gorgeous range of skin tones from the most delicate porcelain to a lovely dark skin. This is the Sunkissed skin. What I really enjoy is the bold makeup that gives me a great shadow and a strong lipstick. I know the makeup experts on so many makeover shows say do one or the other – not both – but that’s for everyday. You do both when you wear a ball gown to dance with Captain Picard.
