It was great seeing so many of you standing up against content theft with posts featuring some Rebel Hope Designs. It’s exciting to learn that Linden Lab acted quickly and effectively and have excluded the stolen content from SL. What that means is that when people who have the stolen content try to rez it, they cannot and they get a message the content is blacklisted. You can read Rebel Hope’s statement on the SL Forums. Nonetheless, the scale of this theft and the assumption on the part of the thief that nothing would happen (an assumption fed by past events) and the development of even more effective theft technology has content creators concerned. They have started a the Step Up campaign and there will be a special edition of Fabulous Fashion TV on Monday that I encourage all of you to watch. If, like me, you will be at work then, you can watch it later on Itunes. Please check the links and Angie Mornington’s blog for more info.
Back to the fashion, Gidge blogged this same dress last week – which should tell you how stunning it is when we both grabbed it during our shopping trip. I went for the red in contrast to her teal. The shoes I chose are Baiastice Querelle and I love these for their mix of burgundy and purple. Speaking of blogging, these are some of the folks who took a stance against content theft by posting in solidarity with Rebel Hope last week:
- Achariya Maktoum
- Angie Mornington
- Ersatz Charisma for Rezzable
- Fury @ The Three Fashionteers
- Gidge Uriza
- Grazia Horwitz
- Harper Ganesvoort
- Jaydie Sapeur
- Lizzie Lexington
- Mouse Mimistrobell
- Nevar Lobo
- Saffia for Prim Perfect
- Samara Barzane
- Stacie Pryor
- Sysy Chapman
Jewelry is Dark Mouse’s 30s Art Deco Mother of Pearl Set from the Jewelry Fair and the hair is – what else could it be?- the Clara Bow from Stringer Mausoleum. The skin is Chaisuki.
I am wearing one of my own shapes – Danica – from sui generis. Like all my work, it is on sale at the Shape/Skin Expo and half the proceeds go to the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. Like all my shapes, the set includes a melancholy, basic and smiling mood.
