There’s a very clever ad campaign to raise money for and global awareness of the AIDS epidemic. It’s called Join Red and is not a charity – but a business model that encourages consumers to purchase from member companies who then contribute to the Global Fund. You can recognize a lot of the Red companies because they have clever variations of words ending in Red – like inspi(red) and wi(red) and so on.  I could not help but think of it when I tried on the hot, hot red of the new shoes from Aphrodite Outlander of Aphrodite Creations (AC) which had me searching for an intense enough red to  wear with it. These pants from Coco sure fit the bill so I put together a red look.  And in keeping with that theme, I ask you to check out Join Red and learn what products you can purchase to direct funding to the Global Fund as well.

Now you can see what I mean by Hot Red. These shoes are on fire. They are one of several colors in the new Inure line of shoes from Aphrodite Creations. They are truly luscious and great for pants as the heel is not too outrageous.  I am puzzled by the name, but clearly Aphrodite Outlander is someone who agrees with Juliet that names don’t matter and a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. This is true. If you called a rose an onion, it would smell just as much like a rose – but people will still think of onions, too.

The jacket is an old one – but still available – from Ce Cubic Effect. I love these jackets and get so much use out of them. The pants are from Coco and come in a great assortment of colors. The belt is from EarthStones and seriously, it is the best fitting belt on the grid.

The Anguish set from Eolande is a stunning piece of jewelry and the Zaara wrapped bracelets add some whimsy that suits the casual look of the new hair from Truth.

The makeup is Black Pearl from the new Beach 2 makeup release from Curio. It’s very well-named.
