Sometimes I shoot a great outfit or dress and then don’t post it right away, letting it get bumped by something more topical or timely. I try to shoot a few outfits at once and stock up a bit in case I can’t get anything done some nights. This is one that’s been hanging fire for more than 10 days and really it deserves better than that. It’s the butterfly gown from Moxie Polano. I picked it up at Relay For Life, but didn’t shoot it right away, so it’s been waiting its turn very patiently. Looking at the excellent cutwork and battenburg lace on the bodice as well as the button gloves, I really should not have let it wait. It’s just so lovely.
I love the gradient wash on the sheer overskirt and lovely – almost airbrushed screen of the butterflies and flowers. It’s elegant and simple on the surface, but then reveals such detail and complexity on closer inspection .
The Muse pearls are stunning and cannot be matched. I only wish that I could have the option of turning off full bright in order to get more balanced lighting in my photos. The hair is from Tiny Bird and called Fuentes – and has lovely, wonderful texture-changing flowers.
The skin is from the Curio April2 line – jonquil – and as fresh as an April shower. **STYLE NOTES******
