So, yesterday I put on this old Paper Couture dress and sighed and asked Whither Paper  Couture? When they only do a spring and fall collection, I get impatient for the next collection to arrive and honestly, seasonly speaking, Fall is tiptoing toward Winter and they announced it was coming back in September. Wah!!!

No sooner have a I finished the hurry-up photos when like magic, there on the feed I see a new Paper Couture outfit – an outfit for men – but still I had to rush back in-world and see what new fripperies and whimsies they have dreamed up and  they did not disappoint me.Taking their inspiration from birdlife, they have produced an aviary of dreams.

This is Turle Dove and one of their rebellions against the limits of prim clothing with their prim blouson top. If only there were a combination flexi-sculpt that could keep the  shape like a sculpty and articulate a bit like a flexi. Nonetheless, this is an astonishingly good bit of prim work and the top gets seriously out of place only in truly exaggerated poses.

I am totally in love with the bejeweled and feathered bodice.

The dress comes with a hat as witty and charming as the Turtle Dove that inspires the dress.

And so, my (im)patience is rewarded and I can enjoy my new dresses while also loving this wonderful old dress. I went to the shops at Barcola and Tableau and did not see any of the old collections dresses at either site, though I hope they make them available somewhere and will let you know when they do.
