16 Years in Kowloon

If you’ve never been to Kowloon, you’re missing out on an amazing adventure of a build. It’s celebrating 16 years as a community and I highly recommend it. I come here and wander the alleys, the stairs that sometimes go somewhere awful and sometimes go nowhere. I grab a bite to eat and maybe pick up a black market item or two if it suits me.

Sometimes the blogger in me is just here for the gorgeous vignettes that seem to perfectly suited to photos.

The real world Kowloon is not such a great story.

Much like it’s real life inspiration, it is a place for outlaws and those who would not conform. You can read about it here . It no longer exists, but we can visit this homage on the Grid. This Second Life build is celebrating 16 years!

If you’re a regular, you will know where to find a great spot with lots of amazing local cuisine to enjoy in privacy, away for the squalor of the streets below. It’s probably not even all longpig…

Just joking it’s real pig. Mostly.

Today I’m wearing almost exclusively vintage stuff I found digging around my closet. FITMESH! Remember that? Eh it doesn’t fit so well anymore but it works out. Do you wear your old things? WHY NOT? Get your linden’s worth!

Monday Got Me Like…

I didn’t start off my day planning to be a lazy Monday, but I think my relaxing weekend was too relaxing. I couldn’t get myself motivated AT ALL so then, I just decided to do some day drinking.

Luckily, my favorite bar tender was on duty.

Back off Ladies and Gents, he’s MINE!

With Boots on hand to serve up the strongest drinks on the grid, I was assured of a perfect day drinking experience.

It was a Monday Martini kind of day, I thought, and truly, alliteration in your cocktail choices is a sign of civilization isn’t it? I think so.

Rainbow Rooms is a perfect spot for cocktails, day or night. Now, I think I need a nap.

Cooking for One

I just stick my hand right in, yes I do.

My house is finally coming together with the requisite Gidginess that is required of any place I call home. The ocean air really makes me feel like I’m home again, and I’m finally figuring out what things are going to be part of my 2020 SLife.

Even as the evening cools off, I love these big windows letting in the fresh air. Warm soup, warm tea, perfect evening.

Life in Bellisseria is quiet and lovely. Wish you were here.

Apartment Life

Linden Home? Mainland? Rental?

Well the Juicy SIM is gone, and I’m splitting my time between being roomies with Gogo and a little apartment on Cajsa’s land where I can rezz. It’s cozy over here on mainland, with so much going on, it wasn’t so alive before. I’m intrigued.

Do I want one of the new linden homes or a little hunk of mainland?

Exploration

I went riding through the sim Gogo lives on and several others. I can see the appeal of them all. They’re so nicely done, with cute landscaping and such lovely views. It might a ton of fun to live here.

It seems like all the cool kids are doing it.

Breakfast for dinner

After a day of bike riding and exploring new sims that I don’t live on, I was ready to call it quits. Breakfast for dinner always sound so much easier than it is. I still have to cook it and that wasn’t really much on my agenda for today but still, it’s nice to have a home base to HAVE my breakfast for dinner in. 

Even if it’s temporary.

No One Even Cares

I get that way sometimes when someone is blathering on in a crazy way.

If ten people do the same thing you do without drama, and you are constantly being “dragged into drama” perhaps just perhaps …..it’s you.

Some things this veteran old blogger can tell you which can, in fact, help you decrease your level of drama are as follows.

  1.  No one is copying your style. No one. If someone IS copying your style please refer to the first sentence. There is a limited number of heads, bodies, and clothes in this world. If someone happens to recreate what you did – or hell just likes the way you did it and dresses up like that too – IT DOES NOT MATTER. Your style is way more than the thinks you choose to wear.  If it’s not – you fail.
  2. If you aren’t getting paid you don’t have sponsors quit rambling on about it.
  3. You are not obligated to 23589723948 blog posts a day. If you DO that many blog posts a day don’t bitch about it. No one requires you to do that.
  4. Creators are right to have expectations, as well do events. That doesn’t mean they own you. Flailing about regarding your “obligations” is just weird bragging. Don’t bitch and moan. Do what you’re supposed to do and move along. OR DON’T SIGN UP FOR MORE THAN YOU CAN SUPPORT.

Morning Stroll

I’m out early this morning checking out events and doing a bit of shopping. These t hings aren’t going to shop themselves, I tell you.

I pulled out an old clutch from HANDVERK and I forgot I’ve got a few awesome bags from them, they’re going to be getting more use. This is why I don’t throw things out. THIS BAG IS SO CUTE. I wonder if they are still around? I need to find out!

I’m in love with my new hair stylist exXess her blondes are amazing. If you’re a blonde girl and don’t go shopping there, run don’t walk. I took Luna this weekend and she was impressed. It’s not a new brand but for me it was one of those WOW WHEN DID THIS BRAND BECOME AMAZING moments.

11 Years and Counting

My eleventh rezz day came and I had no plans. I wasn’t even bothered by this, but when I was surprised with a shopping trip to the Frou Frou event I have to admit, I was fairly tickled.  Sasy took me around and we pondered if her buying me this much lingerie meant she was my GF.

Probably so.

After a ridiculous yet wonderful spree, I dropped some furniture down at the new house and settled in for the night. I’d picked up the perfect lounging pajamas from Miss Chelsea – so I feel like this was a complete win overall.
