I chose the smaller bedroom for my own sleeping quarters in this big old house. It’s got the best views of the sea and I’ll use the bigger room for a giant closet/dressing room.
I’m off to get a bit of work done today, but I can’t wait to get home and return to decorating my new house.
It’s a Thursday but it’s a Monday but I don’t even care.

I had a great idea for my solo New Year’s Adventure. I was going to go hop on the train at Red Hook and take pics of people’s lovely Victorians and just enjoy this lovely area. I thought it was an amazing plan. Then I stood at the train station and no train came, and I couldn’t find a button to push to request the train. I was probably doing something wrong but I could NOT figure out WHAT.
I ended up giving up and getting in my car and going for a drive.
It was a great time for an early morning drive, but eventually I wound up at the end of Bellisseria and found the beach. Of course some how these lucky sods had these AMAZING beach views – just stunning. I parked and walked along the beach while the sun continued it’s dance upward. There is definitely something to be said for these Victorians on the beach.
I decided to drown my sorrows in some treats and just spend the rest of the day languishing in my own beautiful Victorian. Such sorrow, truly.
No such thing as too many macarons
I found a pretty cute grocery to stop in at. It actually had some sort of role play farmers market and vegetables with expiration dates. This is too much of a time commitment for moi. I am intrigued but no, just no.
Maybe? No, no no. No actual food that expires I cannot.
I ordered in Sushi, put on a movie and decided I was in for the night. The cats didn’t mind and truly, I crashed on the couch and didn’t have a care in the world. 2019 was good, and I’m not worked up about 2020. It will be fine. Every single year doesn’t have to be some groundbreaking event. Sometimes just making it happen is enough.
I did, however, wake up and move house.

Cajsa and I had a date for a fancy black tie event but then she wasn’t well. I however was already dress so I decided to do a bit of wandering. I was having a stroll down memory lane – wondering if the old Moulin Rouge was still there. It’s not. There’s a new club of the same name but it’s none the same, nothing ever is.
It did however have nice people, friendly people even. That was what I loved so much about the old one, gone now for so many years. All the fun with our friends – I wonder where they’ve all scattered to?

The Tree is up – the harpsichord is playing a lovely sarabande and I’m really settling in to my new place. It’s brand new – no one ever lived in it before me – kind of a fun idea. I lived over at Meadowbrook and I’m sure it had previous tenants – it had that noob smell. But these Victorians are fresh off the griddle. I’m liking this huge space and beautifully landscaped parks and streets.
What I’d like to see next are towns, make us a little market, a little church and a post office. Complete the narrative of these little neighborhoods with beautifully curated places for us.

My second night in my home finds me not sleeping on the sofa but comfy in the bed of the moment, I might have to get out something else. I’ve got too many beds, I’m not sure which one I want to use.
Ingenue’s Lisette dress comes in more colors than the rainbow. This is melon. I added Izzie’s Sheer Tights, one of the best investments ever.
I am always fascinated by how people think of and describe Second Life. Some people say it’s a game and some say a virtual form of social media. I think of it as a community center with infinite rooms for infinite communities to grow and develop. It’s like yeast, fermenting creativity and community.
I’m so excited that fall is finally here. Sway’s offers up gorgeous pumpkin offerings for your fall decorating.
I had been wanting something a little different for pumpkins this year. I am hoping we have a lot of fun Halloween decor on the Gangway. Do you suppose we will? I still haven’t met any neighbors. Maybe my whimsical pumpkins will attract some!
I hope I don’t go too overboard this year. I think I did too much last year. I’ll try not to add the shrieking banshee. Try. It’s a while till Halloween though, no promises.

I awoke with one mission, SOLVE this fridge issue. My fridge is ridiculous. I mean I even have more than one but I don’t love most of them. I love the stupid giant one because it’s fun but really, it’s too tall so I needed to find something else.
ALSO, I needed groceries. And a shirt.

Somehow I managed to get a rare Fridge from Ariskea at the Epiphany. I LOVE the lemon yellow print which is it’s THING but I’d have to redo my whole house if I suddenly wanted lemon yellow walls in the house so eh. I’m just thrilled it has a pink option, honestly. How considerate!

I confess I also put up some lights that one might construe as Halloween Lights. Perhaps they are just lights of happiness. You don’t know.

Yet suddenly I realize I can’t see in to my own freezer! And this is where the ice cream is, so this is a real tragedy.

I’m slowly getting settled here on the Gangway and I have to admit, I’m more than a bit tickled to be able to paint my walls and outside of my house at a simple touch. POOF new color. How much does that amaze me? And why hasn’t everyone been doing this with their houses forever? Now make it so I can paint each wall individually and I’ll be happy.
I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around Tuesday things all morning, and then I realized – It’s Wednesday!

Wednesday of course means I should wander and find something new. I hopped in my most perfectly Gidgey car and hit the road. I’ll go find a cafe, grab some coffee and pastry and set off to see what’s out there in the world that’s good today. Sounds like a plan, doesn’t it?

Well it happened, with a lot of help and encouragement from my friend Gogolita I managed to get a spot on Bellisaria on the newly opened Gangway. Fate would have it that Cajsa has a houseboat right in front of my house, which is backed by a park behind me and a lovely stretch of road in front.
It’s a nice little suburban wonderland really.
SO you know I just had to get all crazy trashy with A GIANT HELLO KITTY SLIDE. It’s not my fault, I had to. At least for a little while
Hair Fair Is Over, Thank Goodness I at least shopped.
Cajsa managed to get off the Hair Fair press releases this year, as I was completely swamped. But I did manage to get over and do my part shopping that awesome event, I picked up several new hairs and felt warm and fuzzy when they were really contributing to Wigs for Kids. Hair Fair is such an amazing event – I hope you went.
