I’ve been missing from the grid for several weeks due to an internet issue that was blocking me from accessing. We got an upgrade and suddenly I couldn’t connect. Annoying, let me tell you.

But eventually I landed back in my house and found Christmas in full swing which means it’s time to decorate and get SUPER happy. I love Halloween but right behind that is the wintery joy that Christmas brings, even to my island paradise.

I picked up this hilarious Elf Fries from Junk Food. It’s the time of year for the silliest of treats and you know I’m here for it.

What’s your methodology for Shop & Hop? Do you go to it? I have a strict rule of always walking in the same direction with either my left or right shoulder facing the shops. I just keep going until I finally get back to wherever I started – if I can remember where that is, of course.

I messed up the other day and when I logged in I chose to log in at home, which meant I had no idea where I’d left off. Oooops. It’s so overwhelming and huge. I’m also not a fan of booths with too much brown. Bad textures are bleh but omg when everything is brown I’m just so done. I know that’s probably silly, but we all have our thing, don’t we?

Now I post this pic with lots of brown because my likes are duplicitous and without reason.

But besides that, I’m back! YAY!

Bell Hop

I headed over to New Orleans for a night or two but the place is in complete disarray. Not the sort of “there are beads, trash and pee everywhere” disarray that one might normally expect in such a place but rather, just trashed. There seemed to be a lot of random people wandering aimlessly too. I’m not sure what exactly is going on, really.

I was excited for a delicious drink from one of my favorite creators – FLAIR from the Halloween Shop and Hop. Do you LOVE Shop and Hop? I legitimately do. I got this adorable hair stick there too.

True story I love hair sticks and was actually introduced to them in SL as an accessory, so I covet them in both lives.

Speaking of Shop and Hop – I’m not done there! Time to get walking…

I know your feeds have been awash with black and orange and blood and guts the past two weeks, and I’ll probably contribute some but today was just too perfect not to hit the beach.

Just a Snack

Today I set out to do some exploring and found a lovely little restaurant serving amazing treats for those who ventured inside. I grabbed a vanilla shake, not intending to stay long but was soon coerced into making my stay good for lunch too.

I started with my pie rather than my burger. CAN YOU EVEN BLAME ME? I mean look at these servings. I wanted to make sure I got the pie in before I bothered with the burger. a burger is a burger but a pie, man alive a pie is life.

I confess that I did not eat all of either thing but then wandered over to their ice cream offering where not only did I find a cupcake for sale that definitely appealed but then of course there was the question of the ice cream itself. I might die of diabetes at this rate but at least I’ll die happy.

I wandered around a bit and lucked into finding a little farmers market so I grabbed some necessary supplies before heading home. How was your Sunday? I hope it was filled with beautiful things!

I feel like the entire week has been a disaster. Ever have one of those weeks where everything goes wrong? Luckily Tickle Pink has learned how to make coffee (Tickle Pink is the cat btw). Bringing me a cup of hot coffee carefully is a skill that not many cats have, but whose to say what these magic beasties can do?

It’s not the worst way to start a Thursday. I do wonder though, the person who made this bed, why do they think I need a fork AND a knife to eat my croissants? Have I been doing it wrong all along?

Capybaras for EVERYONE

Did you know that capybaras are an animal that can live with all kinds of other animals. It’s a very nurturing, friendly little creature, although not so little. They’re like this great big guinea pigs who just love everybody and are gentle and sweet.

I’m kind of a huge fan.

We picked up a new little boat that has a built in grill and decided it was as perfect way to end our lazy Saturday. It was an absolute steal at the Saturday Sale from MADPEA and it has both a floaty and drivable version if you’re feeling like tooling around.

For us, we were content to cook our dinner and watch the sunset off the coast of Bellisseria this evening. It was a pretty good way to end the day.

If you don’t have a bikini, lingerie is also a valid bikini, fyi.

Aliana is feeling pretty cute this evening too.

I love a new vehicle, I think I love vehicles almost as much as I love food. This winner from 777 is a gift at Shop n Hop and you can pick it up here . Like everything they make it’s great quality, and Aliana and I had a great time cruising around the beach before our early morning picnic.

777 added a cute little addition, this kitty has stowed away in our picnic basket. I hope he didn’t eat our donuts. That was our only sustenance for the morning!

We’re tired so decided on a simple dinner at home.

Every year I forget what a chaotic mess the SL birthdays are and every year I go and get SUPER annoyed, yet I still have a good time. It’s a duplicity I can live with.

It’s gonna be a lag hell and textures aren’t gonna rez 5ever and you’re gonna get scooted across the world stuck in a lag cloud but still, the things you do see are fun and interesting. I love seeing all the individual citizens as well as the brands coming out to celebrate our 20th year as a community in all their weird and wacky ways. Take this for instance, what is it about? NO IDEA. But still, it’s fun.

I don’t like getting lectured at, however. I come here to escape. The night and the world is dark and full of terrors and anyone trying to make huge social statements here get on my last damn nerves. I didn’t wander into your fun build to get lectured at. I want to escape and have fun. What a drag some people are. (Annoying Lecturing Builds were not included in Pics),

I found this super fun car racing build and had to stop by. You know I do love some car racing. I was a little sad I couldn’t actually drive around, but appreciate they didn’t include that as it would have just further contributed to the lag hell that was already going on.

I’m wearing shoes and cloths from SL20B Shop & Hop Event today, freebies from nice brands always for the win – Baiastice is one of my loves from bag in my early blogger days and her quality is still completely top notch. My little floating friend is also a freebie from Shop & Hop.

I’m having an ice cream waffle from Hangry, I know I eat a lot. I can’t help it. This is just how I am.
