Cajsa and I had a date for a fancy black tie event but then she wasn’t well. I however was already dress so I decided to do a bit of wandering. I was having a stroll down memory lane – wondering if the old Moulin Rouge was still there. It’s not. There’s a new club of the same name but it’s none the same, nothing ever is.
It did however have nice people, friendly people even. That was what I loved so much about the old one, gone now for so many years. All the fun with our friends – I wonder where they’ve all scattered to?

The Tree is up – the harpsichord is playing a lovely sarabande and I’m really settling in to my new place. It’s brand new – no one ever lived in it before me – kind of a fun idea. I lived over at Meadowbrook and I’m sure it had previous tenants – it had that noob smell. But these Victorians are fresh off the griddle. I’m liking this huge space and beautifully landscaped parks and streets.
What I’d like to see next are towns, make us a little market, a little church and a post office. Complete the narrative of these little neighborhoods with beautifully curated places for us.

My second night in my home finds me not sleeping on the sofa but comfy in the bed of the moment, I might have to get out something else. I’ve got too many beds, I’m not sure which one I want to use.
I’m wandering around doing holiday things today. I found a sweet little sim with most of the things for sale. sure, they’re older and the prim count is higher on some of them but it’s still super fun.
I may go back and buy the carousel. I don’t know. Does this fit with my victorian themed house? I don’t wanna be THAT neighbor but still- CAROUSEL!
Have you done your holiday shopping? Are you ready? I am NOT. Don’t even have stockings up yet. I’m ridiculous. I just moved though is it even my fault? I don’t think so.
The snow was fun but the place was so laggy it just rezzed and unrezzed super fast. So fun but eh. Too much going on, too many scripts. YET – super fun.
With this…I’m off to finish unpacking my things. I hate setting up house!
Well I turned in to an elf, not sure how that happened. Sasy said “go try out the SLINK Elf Ears” and now i’m an elf. Will I stay one? Who even knows? Maybe I’m transitioning in to a new SL and this is how it starts. It’s difficult to say.
My evening was quiet, the typist was in bed relaxing and surfing her social media whilst the cat here napped and I was relaxing in the living room and doing the same. My friend Gogo pointed out a limited edition shirt that was available on Marketplace and well then I had to have that. It was a perfect combo for my new pants I picked up on the lucky boards at Sn@tch.
Of course once I’m shopping I’m not likely to stay calm, so I ducked out for some winter adventure, even just a little one, at a silly little winter SIM I found.

Bakes on Mesh has me pulling out skins I thought were lost to me forever, like this one from MotherGoose.
Well I wasn’t up to fighting the crowds for Black Friday craziness but I will tell you this, free pig from Schadenfreude at SaNaRae got me dressed.
In fact, I rolled around and picked up all of the gifts – there were some good ones! I did a wee bit of shopping too, but not toooo much, I’m a girl on a budget.
My other favorite gift are these adorable glasses – they have a snow ON or snow OFF option, and several texture choices. Very thoughtful, fun gift!

I’m still riding the BakesOnMesh train pretty hard. Today I’m wearing skin from TULI – that vintage skinner who doesn’t create any more. I kinda love being back in to my old skins – I’m so glad i never trashed most of them.
If you thought this shopping addict was going to be up before dawn tramping stilettos in a chaotic rush for a good deal, well you are confused. No my lovelies I’ve slept in and I’m not even sorry. I’ll be having a very relaxing day at home thank you.

Tuesday after a long day of being a pixel girl I decided to Christmas the place up. The old tree from Moss and Mink with it’s pastel loveliness fits in perfectly with my very Gidgey house.
Sometimes in my little world I have to admit I just like to do nothing, so I found a movie and the cat and I settled in. Honestly, I’ve had these cats so long I don’t think I can SL without them. They greet me when I come home, they are little snuggly friends that make wherever I live a home.

I’m also trying out a new shape for a new head. Have you demo’d the recently released new SLINK REDUX heads? I felt like shaking it up so I’ve tried out a new one and a new shape to boot. What do you think? It’s very different for me but I like it.

I’ve slapped on a new SLINK Visage head and I just have to say, there’s an odd comfort in not even worrying about what something looks like. I guess that’s just decades of quality work built up. I’m not sure it’s Gidge’s face yet but I new it would be pretty and it is. I have to try on others and decide who will be Gidge. It’s anyone’s guess.

I am always fascinated by how people think of and describe Second Life. Some people say it’s a game and some say a virtual form of social media. I think of it as a community center with infinite rooms for infinite communities to grow and develop. It’s like yeast, fermenting creativity and community.
