Cake: What Next
I’ve been missing from the grid for several weeks due to an internet issue that was blocking me from accessing. We got an upgrade and suddenly I couldn’t connect. Annoying, let me tell you.
But eventually I landed back in my house and found Christmas in full swing which means it’s time to decorate and get SUPER happy. I love Halloween but right behind that is the wintery joy that Christmas brings, even to my island paradise.
I picked up this hilarious Elf Fries from Junk Food. It’s the time of year for the silliest of treats and you know I’m here for it.
What’s your methodology for Shop & Hop? Do you go to it? I have a strict rule of always walking in the same direction with either my left or right shoulder facing the shops. I just keep going until I finally get back to wherever I started – if I can remember where that is, of course.
I messed up the other day and when I logged in I chose to log in at home, which meant I had no idea where I’d left off. Oooops. It’s so overwhelming and huge. I’m also not a fan of booths with too much brown. Bad textures are bleh but omg when everything is brown I’m just so done. I know that’s probably silly, but we all have our thing, don’t we?
Now I post this pic with lots of brown because my likes are duplicitous and without reason.

I headed over to New Orleans for a night or two but the place is in complete disarray. Not the sort of “there are beads, trash and pee everywhere” disarray that one might normally expect in such a place but rather, just trashed. There seemed to be a lot of random people wandering aimlessly too. I’m not sure what exactly is going on, really.
I was excited for a delicious drink from one of my favorite creators – FLAIR from the Halloween Shop and Hop. Do you LOVE Shop and Hop? I legitimately do. I got this adorable hair stick there too.
True story I love hair sticks and was actually introduced to them in SL as an accessory, so I covet them in both lives.

Today I set out to do some exploring and found a lovely little restaurant serving amazing treats for those who ventured inside. I grabbed a vanilla shake, not intending to stay long but was soon coerced into making my stay good for lunch too.
I started with my pie rather than my burger. CAN YOU EVEN BLAME ME? I mean look at these servings. I wanted to make sure I got the pie in before I bothered with the burger. a burger is a burger but a pie, man alive a pie is life.
I confess that I did not eat all of either thing but then wandered over to their ice cream offering where not only did I find a cupcake for sale that definitely appealed but then of course there was the question of the ice cream itself. I might die of diabetes at this rate but at least I’ll die happy.
I wandered around a bit and lucked into finding a little farmers market so I grabbed some necessary supplies before heading home. How was your Sunday? I hope it was filled with beautiful things!

Monday Barbie has a lot to do today. So I grabbed a cup of inspiration and decided to get to it nice and early today. I grabbed these new shoes over at GOS and geez any time I stop in there I just want one of everything. I’m clearly going back soon.
Do you like Mondays? I am ambivalent. Some people get very sideways about this day but for me, it’s just another day where I have things to do. I don’t think too much about them vs. any other day of the week honestly.

I spent my early afternoon roaming wildly through the offerings at the Fifty Linden Friday birthday bash and truly there is something for everyone. Stereotypical Barbie? Dark Moody Barbie? Which Barbie are you? There is something for all of our dolls there, whether it’s home decor, props to wear or the usual – clothes/hair/skin/etc.
I probably spent too much. But in my usual way of course I sought out something to eat because I’m a hungry pixel doll. Junk Food has an oyster dispenser for you lot who enjoy eating oysters. I personally am not that keen but I still had to pick it up because I love eating in my Second Life.
I’m a piggie what can I say?
FLF birthday bash also had food trucks but alas I couldn’t get the one to make me a pizza – I am sure due to the lag involved some of their functionality had to be removed. They left the pop dispenser though ! YAY!
You have no idea how carefully I positioned that handle bar for this photo. I forgot to wear panties. OOOPS.
It is nice that they offer bikes for us to bop around in. I ran over many shoppers. SORRY. I’m a bad driver, what can I say?
Eventually my dreams came true and a food truck at the other end had steak tacos. Finally, a meal! Perfect shopping plus food – can this day get any better? I think not.
There are people who would tell you not to shoot in front of backdrops or objects that give you an alpha halo. I’m not one of those people. Even things that are not “quite right” can be so pretty. I love the sky here at the FLF Birthday event, it’s really lovely.

I was hungry and decided to go rolling around until i found some free food – which I did in SPADES. YEAH baby free turkey burger. I have to feed this thick body, don’t want her to get skinny.
This spot was really fun, it was a seaside boardwalk area with rides and lots of interactive fun to enjoy. It’s called Dark Dreams and if you’re interested in checking it out – pop over to this spot.
I have to admit, I was pretty obsessed with food and drink while I was there.
But sitting by this ocean view, how can I even be sorry about it? I can’t. Plus I’m really hungry – all the time.

If you’ve never been to Kowloon, you’re missing out on an amazing adventure of a build. It’s celebrating 16 years as a community and I highly recommend it. I come here and wander the alleys, the stairs that sometimes go somewhere awful and sometimes go nowhere. I grab a bite to eat and maybe pick up a black market item or two if it suits me.
Sometimes the blogger in me is just here for the gorgeous vignettes that seem to perfectly suited to photos.
The real world Kowloon is not such a great story.

I picked up this new bike from 777 for the Happy Weekend event and had to drag my butt out of bed early to take her for a roll through the neighborhood. I have to admit, I’m just a terrible driver. I’m so sorry to everyone whose lawn and HOUSE I drove through this morning. I hope I didn’t wake you. It’s just tough especially while you’re trying to eat a big old cone of sorbet.

Today I dug out a pair of classic shades from that OG shop we oldbies all miss, ARTILLERI. She’s been gone for years and years but I’ll never delete some of the things I got from there, just because even now they stand up to the test of time.
I grabbed this shirt from Mutresse from one of the weekend sales as well, not sure which one, and I do have a small quibble. While it’s got a little thing in it where you can apparently pose to pop out a boobie if you’re so inclined (I imagine doing this at a club like hey baby, wanna see this boobie?), the shoulders on it are WONKY. They sit an inch or two ABOVE my shoulders. I’m wearing the right shirt for the body so I’m not sure if this is a rigging thing or what, I don’t create clothes so I’m definitely NOT throwing stones, but it’s off for sure. However, it was also both cheap and pretty so I’m not really upset.
Mutresse is a really great brand – and I’ve never had an issue with them before so I would just count this as an oops but if it would bother you, please consider it before puchasing.
