Little-known fact, I used to blog for SL Free*Style, and think they are awesome. I still have an eye for free items, and because of this I thought I’d point out the awesome quality of the items at today’s Starlust Trick or Treat event. I’m wearing a sweet sweater from Pig in Halloween colors, makeup and earrings from Schadenfreude, shorts and socks from ~silentsparrow~, and I feel so pretty! I love Halloween for so many reasons, but one of them is Calico Ingmann Creations’ Halloween hair hunt. Calico makes four Halloween hair colorings of some of her popular hair, and then sets them out around the sim for an amazing hunt. Every year, Curious Kitties has a great Halloween-themed bazaar in the center of the store.  This year, I was pleased to see that the creator has been playing with mesh!  There are a number of mesh items, including dresses and animal avatars — and these free mesh legs that I’m sporting above.  There are also excellent group gifts if you join the Curious Kitties group, a new one about every month.  Also free in this photo is the curtain behind me, a one-week group gift for autumn from Zacca (do the Chestnut hunt while you’re there), and my facepaint, free from Miss Shippe.

My cats are totally upstaging me in that shot, heh. I finally did CSR! I realized that it was happening sometime last night, and within the hour I’d purchased stamp cards and raced around stamping them. The first thing that I collected was the DP**yumyum panda avatar (another photo, in the Honey Kitty CSR dress, is here). Every year since I started SL I’ve done CSR, and every year I’ve worn the heck out of the cute little avatar from DP**yumyum. Remember the sheep that began it all? And the controversial bunny that made SL Secrets? Ah, the memories. I’m wearing it with today’s FLF haul, this scarf and skirt from Milk Motion, and this hair from fashionably Dead. My shirt is from Schadenfreude’s booth at the Halloween Bizarre. TGIF!

Know what’s cool about Halloween?  Aside from EVERYTHING, it’s all the treats that people want to give us.  I love you creators, you don’t need to spoil us, but you do.  The first is Schadenfreude’s yearly tradition, the pumpkin treat bucket.  It’s a gift to everyone, and chock full of stuff (including the witch pez that I hold, above, and all sorts of fun things, including free ridable brooms for you Hogwarts people).  In the words of Allegory: “Wear the bucket! Touch the bucket! Tell others to touch your bucket!”  [ What’s for Christmas, Alle? A box with a hole in it?]

I love Autumn, and I’m so glad it’s here.  In real life it remains a perfect 90f outside… In SL I can pile on the scarves and long sleeves and pretend it’s cold.  I’m wearing a few new things to celebrate the season.  This skin is new from Plastik, the Aleria line.  So pretty, especially this blushing makeup, and an amazing number of boob options too (thanks, Aikea!).  The tattoo isn’t new from Lolapop, but it’s newly on a tattoo layer! (Thanks, Lola!)  And the shoes are cute and perfect and new from G*Field.  I’m so happy that Antonia Marat loves Autumn too — her set for this past FLF was outstanding.  More photos of me sniffing the pretend Autumnal air (and credits) behind this cut.

Look, my boots are bending. I mean, at the knee.  I’m in one of Lassitude & Ennui’s new mesh overknee boots, the one that perfectly matches this dress from AZUL.  How did that happen?  Amaze.  This gothy little item is a limited edition for AZUL’s reopening, and I really like how it frames the wings on my back.  Two more photos and the credits behind the cut.
