I went to the Festival of Sin and indulged just a little in this headband from Louou & Co, named (aptly) Glucose. It’s got doughnuts on it, nomnom! I put together an outfit that tried to be sinful but is probably more cute, topped by this new awesome group gift hair from Schadenfreude. It’s one of seven hairs, all circus-themed, and color changing with a hud. Awesome!

It’s the kind of wild night where you can smell Mardi Gras fast approaching, and it seems perfectly reasonable to trot down the middle of the street in a ball gown. I love Mardi Gras for a variety of reasons (most especially for fond memories of my 20s, down in New Orleans watching the krewes), but I also love it for the bright clothing. I love Drowsy. The two designers that play there (BettiePage** and Kurotsubaki) have a vision that is always steeped in Hayao Miyazaki levels of mythic creepiness. The sim’s been redone. There are a few structures left on their land, but the forest is overtaking it, and soon all of the beauty and art will be swallowed up by the trees. The sim won’t be around for long (in the words of Robert Frost, nothing gold can stay). But if you manage to catch it, you can find a few bits that help preserve the memory. I’ve got the puppet theater, and the message in the bottle, and a line of toy rabbits, and other odds and ends. I’ll miss you, Drowsy. Please return soon? (Visit Drowsy)
