My computer has been on sabbatical since December 18th. It took a trip to Cupertino to soak in the warmer weather and pick up a new logic board. Luckily, it returned last night just in time for me to show off this gorgeous dress from ISON before Collabor88 shimmies itself into a new monthly showcase on the 8th. Is this not lovely and it comes in five colors and I posed on that pose stand clicking the HUD through those colors over and over and over and over again trying to decide. It was impossible, they are all wonderful. So, I eenie-meenied my way to this lovely rose shade. I am decisive like that sometimes.
Speaking of choices, I am not one for resolutions or for self-help books. I laugh in their general direction! However, I have decided that there is a self-help book that appeals to me, The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday. I am going to try to read it one-day-at-a-time, as intended, though the temptation to read it all at once is strong. It has already made me roll by eyes a couple times, but I have read and appreciated Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus in the past. Their philosophy has always appealed to me and seems good advice for life. I made a wallpaper of January 1st quote because it is very much the fundamental principle that makes sense of life, knowing the difference between what you can change and what is out of your control.
Seriously, this cannot be improved upon, blending rich embellishment on the top with simple minimalism on the bottom. There are lovely design details in the form of the sleeves and bodice but it refuses to be fussy and over-designed.
And then there are these confections that Glamistry is passing off as shoes, rather than the luscious sweets of pure indulgence that they really are.
So which came first, the dress or the necklace? They are so perfectly made for each other that there seems to be even more coordination than the usual color and mood board theme can achieve on its own. The hair from Pr!tty adds more romanticism with its tousled waves.
Glam Affair is releasing skins like a dynamo this month thanks to the new Lelutka Simone 2.0 head for Bento. This one was released at Collabor88 and has such a romantic simplicity, I really love it. My friend Gogo has re-launched her Juicy Shapes now that we get to be idiosyncratic again. This is her Meghan shape, though I have made a few edits to the face shape and mouth to make mine individual.
