It Could Also Be A Couch

This might not sound like a compliment, unless you – as a small child, spent hours and hours in discount fabric stores in the 70s. They heavy, thick fabric texturing of this sundress from Aris Aris reminded me immediately of fabric that you could find on sale to cover your chair, or to make a skirt or a dress.  It’s made with natural looking creasing that only lends to it’s appearance as a thick woven fabric, heavier than a denim.

My cousin was forever buying fabrics like this and making cute dresses and skirts out of them to our never ending amusement. But the truth was, she had awesome eclectic taste and her look was always flawless, in 1978.

The dress definitely has more of an SL twist with the super sexy bodice. In the 70s it’d have the saggy boob factor cuz we all thought wearing no bra made you free then. Now we know it just makes you saggy.

I’m also sporting a gorgeous necklace from Caroline’s from VINTAGE fair (as is the dress) and beautiful new mesh lashes from MIAMAI.

/points out that I fitted the lashes. HOPES A NOTE IS MADE.
