I make my friends in the strangest ways. Usually, I start out not liking them. There’s the girl who used to come and decorate my desk for holidays. I finally complained to the VP – “Why does that WOMAN come and touch my stuff? Can’t she decorate someone ELSES desk?”

She became one of my best friends.

I met Cajsa when she was a noob and was stuck under some stairs.

I met another friend when my then boyfriend suggested we have a threesome, we turned him down and became good friends to this day.

People sneak up on me. And then one day they’re part of my every day life and I can’t imagine a day without talking to them. When they aren’t around, I miss them. When they are sad, I feel sad with them.

I don’t believe in virtual friends.

I believe in friends. Real friends.

Today is the RL birthday of someone I call friend. She’s one of the best bloggers and photographers on the grid. She’s my partner in posing. And she’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.

Even when she’s a crankypants.
