It was just happenstance that I was at the Help Japan Event when I read the invite from Achariya to come participate in the final hurrah photo for her blog. It said the them was orange. I like orange and could have pulled from inventory, but I was already looking at this dress for the fundraiser. New, orange and lindens for Japan. Perfect.


The dress is by Collect and I love the double layers of the skirt prim with their sheer quality. it’s unexpected in a plaid and I like the unexpected. The lovely bow at the neck adds great detail and fits beautifully. The shoes are Lelutka’s Saffron Pumps one of the best fat packs I ever bought for getting lots of use out of it.

The jewelry is from Cailynn’s and EarthStones. They are all old pieces. The Burst necklace is the first item I ever bought from EarthStones. I remember it so well. It was in a satellite mall and I saw this jewelry that was made with stones instead of gems and I jumped for joy. I love the more earthy jewelry in real life and had searched fruitlessly for hours for jewelry that was less princess-y and this was my first find. The industry has changed a lot since then and of course, blogging introduces me to many more jewelers. Still, I will not forget the excitement of finding my kind of jewelry store for the first time.

The hair is from Love Soul and the skin is from PXL Creations with the orange lipstick. And see, I have made it all the way to the end without resorting to a knock-knock joke.
